After 19 months, finally a few hours of goodness from Hudson

I'll count it as a momentous occasion. My best friend came over yesterday. Hudson jumped all over him as he usually does, and was given a time out in his kennel to settle down. When he returned, he jumped a few times, was scolded and redirected and then, for the first time ever, HE SETTLED DOWN AND WAS A GOOD DOG with company. He behaved for almost four hours!

He snoozed under the kitchen table, brought his Halloween toy for a few tosses, went upstairs and looked out the window, and even took a nap by the back door. We watched TV for an hour and he came up on the couch and put his head on my friend's lap. There was no nipping, climbing, or pawing...I'm flabbergasted.

Dare I think this aloud? Could this be a little glimpse of the good dog buried deep within? (I know. I know. Don't get my hopes up...)

WTG Hudson!!! :clappurple: :cheer:

Please pm Tiggy on how that works.
excellent. Please tell me how it is done Summer hasnt found out how to behave yet. She spends most of the time in the porch when we have company. Trouble is when the grand kids come she jumps at them and her nails are so sharp!
Good boy Hudson! You deserve an extra special treat.
I dont know, I have mixed emotions about this......I love Hudson stories so I am kind of leaning to the I hope its something he will snap out of lololol :sidestep:
No worries there....he destroyed one of my hubby's shoes this morning. No danger of him becoming boring anytime soon...
I have to laugh out loud...we all want our dogs to be calm and then when they are, we miss their antics! Our newest pup, age 1 year, is so super active. All we do is pray she slows down. Then one day she just sat in her bed looking so sad. We were all worried and it ended up she was sick with a high temp.

All we wanted was our crazy little girl back! Ha ha...I think we all wish our pups would calm down and then when they get old or are sick we miss their "puppyness"...
don't feel bad go times 2 on mine!! no wonder no one wants to come to my house to visit
GOOD BOY HUDSON! Now can he teach my two?!
Yay Hudson, good boy!

Don't you just love it when your heart swells with pride for your pup? :) I wish they could know how proud we are of them when they're good.
Good boy Hudson! It's still a Hudson story!
Way to go Hudson ..... wait wait .... Molly is four and I am still waiting for that to happen
WTG Hudson!

I agree, Beau will be five in two weeks and I still haven't broken him from jumping on company when they walk in the door.
Yay Hudson! What a big boy!
Molly sometimes does not jump on company but you can be sure if they stay the night, she will be found in the morning sleeping with them, head on pillow and four legs pointing to the Gods.   but omg does she snore
