Leftover baked potato one week old

I baked a tatie last Sunday and stuck it in the fridge. Can I eat it without getting sick? Looks fine--no mold or other fungus growing on it.

Can you eat it w/o getting sick? Yes. I'd put all my money down on you NOT getting sick from it esp. if you're re-heating it.

Should you? No. You shouldn't eat any leftover past 4 day mark. Less if it were meat.
I wouldn't eat it. I'm known for not eating things probably earlier than I need to, but I don't want to risk it.

It doesn't have to look moldy to have gone bad...
I would eat it.
I'd throw it out.

Potatoes are cheap. Baking one doesn't take much effort. Start over and be safe.
I would eat it BUT, I don't like reheated potatoes...
I would add it to the dog's food - I bet Bob likes potatoes

LOL. I'd never get to eat anything then!
I would eat it. In fact, I'm sure I've done that many times.

On that note, as kids, we used to leave the hard-boiled eggs in our easter baskets in our bedrooms for days and still we'd eat them. Never got sick. . .
I would eat it in something else like soup ect. Dog food is great idea too.
I'd eat it. Probably dice it, cook with green peppers and onions (like hash browns but larger chunks).........and probably have many times.

When will Ron give me my vomit icon? 8)

I'm so guilty of eating old stuff b/c I've got the stomach of a cow and it MUST be filled, but... even I wouldn't go there. ;)

It seems as I get older, I take less chances. Heading past the week mark for leftovers would be too long for me.

US TOO!!!!
Ditto.......in fact I was shocked to read how quickly they could spoil......I should be dead many times over.
the potato - I'd throw it out to the sheep. :D

those eating eggs! 8O 8O 8O
at our house the primary job of the easter bunny is to know the exact count of eggs hidden, so we know when to mount a serious hunt for stragglers!

It is amazing we survived ourt childhoods isn't it? Between salmonella ridden easter eggs and playgrounds on cement, there should be none of us left.
Ew ew ew.
Gross. LOL

I wouldn't eat it. I'm soooo picky about how food is handled, cooked, stored etc. I won't eat leftovers the next day in most cases. Except turkey, and even that I won't eat past the 2 day mark.
I just hope all those who are saying they don't ea tleftovers, at least freeze excess meals. No wonder we consume more resources per capita than just about any other country.
My husband and his family always save the leftovers and then throw them out the next day. 100% of the time they never eat them, but I guess they always like to think they will. I know a lot of people like that. They also eat normal portions unlike ms. piggy here.

My side of the family always grew up eating leftovers AND what was on their plate. We totally have eating issues.

My mom and dad came over and we ate 16 manicotti's which was 2 full 9X13 dishes, an appetizer AND dessert. ...when his mom and dad came over, I made 1 9X13 and there was 1 left over, and only 2 people ate dessert.
I wouldn't eat it. I use stuff within 3 days, leftovers from dinner are the next day's lunch. I was bitterly disappointed today when I went to open a pack of mushrooms I bought 3 days ago & they were covered in fluff ick ick ick!! Should have refrigerated them.
I ended up not eating it because it didn't fit with the rest of the dinner. I threw it away, but would have eaten it!
