Zombieland!

Sometimes I think I am the only Zombie fanatic in the world. I'm super stoked to see this film due out today. It looks equal parts cheese and hilarity - a kin to Shawn of the dead.

... Anyone else going to see this?

You are definitely not the only zombie fanatic! I'm really looking forward to it, too. The zombie movie that I'm really waiting for to get made is World War Z.

Have you read "The Strain" by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan? They call them vampires but it's really more of a new twist on zombies. I just finished it and I can't wait for the other two books in the trilogy.

No, I haven't heard of The Strain, but I'll definately look for it. I just bought "Pride and Prejudice and zombies" it's by a company called quirk books. As you can imagine, it is the 're-imagined' telling of Jane Austin's classic. It's pretty entertaining.

I do have the book World War Z and the preceeding book "The Zombie Survival Guide".

I heard that George Romero was in the midst of making another {insert name here} of the dead...
my husband, brother dad and couple of friends all went to see it the past couple of days. Needless to say i did not see the movie but i now have every second of it memorized due to all the re-tellings of how awesome and funny it was.

In case anyone was thinking about seeing this movie... you totally should!!!! It's hilarious and very tongue-in-cheek. It's not as graphic as I was thinking, but it definately has some great scenes.
I loved :hearts: Shawn of the Dead :hearts: and can't wait to see Zombieland. I have Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in the Kindle holding pen. I really haven't read a lot of zombie books, but think I may look up The Strain.
I've purchased The Strain in Audiobook form for my grooming sessions. I was listening to it last night as I was brushing out Wendel. It's pretty riveting so far, I'm curious to see where it is going.

Good choice, Jill!
Cool, I'm glad you like it so far. It kept me interested all the way through. It takes a little bit of lore from all kinds of vampire and zombie stories/movies. It was fun.

We might go see Zombieland tomorrow but the people who want to go live way on the other side of town so we're still deciding if we want to voyage over there.
I think you'll dig Zombieland, it's real entertaining. I had no idea that The Strain was the first part to a trilogy. Did you read the other two books?

Afraid to drive home in the dark afterward?

Nope, they aren't written yet. The next ones will be called "The Fall" and "The Night Eternal" but they won't be out until 2010 and 201, respectively. In a way, that makes me sorry that I didn't wait until 2011 to start the series.

LOL. No, just super lazy.
We like zombies too! Well, you know what I mean! Loved Shawn of the Dead, so will watch out for this, thanks!
Almost lost DH to another movie during the first 15 minutes. But it wasn't long before he was speculating about what was going to happen and then laughing.

I loved it, he really enjoyed it.

Remember, "Enjoy the little things in life" and "it never hurts to wear a little sunscreen". 8)
Just started The Strain. The plane is on the ground and the SWAT team is entering. This one looks like it will creep me out. 8O
