OESOCC 2009 National Specialty

Hi there... just wanted to put out some info on our national specialty.
I know funds are tight for a lot of us, but we usually have a great time and there are 4 sets of points to be won over 3 days.
I hope as many of you who can will come, to enter your dogs or just to watch!
We will be having a silent auction which will consist of some beautiful OES memorabilia, books etc and we are also raffling off a beautiful quilt which I will try to get pics of shortly.

Stacy, who did you enter? I know Amber is taking 2-3, if I can transplant headcoat on Gabriel (THANK YOU Jonah and Zachary  ) I'm entering him.
I'm going to enter if all my paperwork comes back in time.
I'm hoping to enter Willy. I'd have loved to enter Piper but she just doesn't have enough coat back yet. :(
The quilt is beautiful.

Jill, you can enter as listed without a CKC number.

I still need an event registration number, though. In the long run, it's cheaper and easier to just register and just be done with it.

Or do you mean I can enter now and then supply the number later?
Jill- I would call the CKC and see if they have generated a registration number for him yet. They will give it to you over the phone before you would receive your papers in the mail. If they do not have a number for him yet, then Holly is right, you can still show him. On the entry form you would just check off "Listed", and pay the additional fee (I believe it is 8 dollars and change) If you have already sent his entries out and marked him as listed I would still call the CKC the day the show closes to see if they have a number yet and if they do happen to provide you with one before entries close, you can contact the show secretary and give them his registration number. You would then also be refunded your listing fee as long as the show has not yet closed.

Hope this was helpfull. And I hope to see both you and Holly at the Specialty

I actually have yet to send everything in because I'm still getting all the information that they need. Today Owen is getting microchipped and that should be the final piece of the puzzle. I have a feeling getting all the stuff together was the hard part!
You don't need an ERN to enter. If he gets any points I think you have 30 days to apply for the number.
I've shown before without doing any extra paperwork... I showed a Dane years ago who's registered name wouldn't go through so I had to show her as just listed. It was only an x in a box on the entry form, no extra paper work etc... it's just an extra 8.50 I think for showing as listed.
Well, I think I'll send my entry in this weekend then and I won't worry about when the paperwork processes then. I didn't realize I could show that way there.
Who's going?

We may be there on Friday watching (sans-chien), and Winston is showing on Saturday (and what a full day it promises to be).

I spoke with Diane Buckland last week, and she told me there are sheepdogs coming from coast-to-coast, from the US, and that there are two breeders coming from Australia! This will be my first OES National Specialty, and sounds like it's going to be a big one - looks like 21 dogs in the Sweepstakes and 35 dogs in the Conformation Specialty (someone correct me if I'm reading the schedule incorrectly).

See you there!
Hi Craig......I'll be there Saturday. I entered 3 dogs and it looks like 2 of my handlers are bailing on me so I guess I might just have to choose 1 dog to bring :(

Looking forward to seeing you and Stephanie again! It will be a fun day....how could it not be....33 OES's!!!
Amber, won't Jean be at the Trillium shows? If he doesn't have the bitch from Toronto maybe he can help.
To what I understand he is showing a Specials bitch, and I also have 2 bitch Specials entered.
Is Dinko taking a puppy?
Yes he does. Actually I believe he has 4 or 5 dogs entered.
Yup, Dinko has a few dogs entered (Winston is one of them), so I'm sure we'll be spending some time helping to get them ready.

Sucks that you're going to be down a couple of handlers. Hopefully you're able to work something out!
Maybe Ashley or Anne? Can't think of anyone else.
