Life with Lulu

Well it has been a month since i brought my furry little bundle of joy home and things are going well. Lulu is sleeping thru the night at the foot of my bed(so much for that crate!), she is doing well with potty training(whines at the back door), I'm not saying she is trained, but is doing well! She now weighs a whopping 21 lb. She was 12lb a month ago!

Her goofy personality is shinning thru. Her new thing is; she likes to hide her nylabones and greenies! I find them in my newspaper stack! At night she likes to gather them up and sit with them. Too Cute! I will post more later, I got to let some one out...

Heidi! It's so great to hear about miss LuLu!!! Any current pics? I'm glad to hear she's doing so much better at night! You know... those
Southern Belles are having a picnic, and so are the East-Coasters... maybe we should have an autumnal midwest sheepie picnic? (Autumnal of course, cause I won't be getting mine till then, and I wouldn't want to miss out on the fun!)

Karen :)
I love that name - Lulu - it's just so cute. :D
Karen,

a picinic sounds good to me! I had a great weekend. My brother an his wife came to visit from IL. They have an OES puppy that is 5 weeks older than Lulu named Lucy. For two days it was wrestlemania! (and we were worried they wouldn't get along.) I took a bunch of photos and some video. They would wrestle and play until we would seperate them so they could rest. Too cute! I wish they lived closer! It was so much fun!

hey I didn't tell you, Lulu was attacked by a Jack Russell Terrier a week ago Fri. She is O.K. now but that fri. night was rough. The JR grabbed her by her lip and bit through it!!! every time she opened her mouth she would cry. We went to the vet first thing Sat am and they cleaned her up and shaved the bite mark on her nose. She will be done with the antibiotics on Mon.

Now I am in this weird situation with the owner. She is a friend/accquaintace from the dog park. Her JR is pretty aggressive and has gone after young dogs before. She asked what she could do, to make things work out and I said I would talk to her on Sat. I emailed her when I got back from the vet and haven't heard from her since!! She has stopped going to the park(which is good for the other dogs). I think she has decided to ignore the problem and it will go away. What a strange and unsettling situation!

Fortunately Lulu is back to normal! She still wants to play with other dogs and doesn't appear to be fearful!

So, when do you think you will get your new pup?

stay in touch!!
Heidi
