He will be shown in Dortmund in October, Chris will be showing him there and we intend to take some new photo's of him in show coat, when they turn out good I will send them to you Elissa and of coarse post them in the forum.

If everything works out and the confirmation comes through in time I will enter Zorro at a double show in Denmark, if he gets the CC at one of the shows he will be a Danish Champion, but I will not tell Chris then if it works out it will be a nice surprise for her as she has never had a Danish Champion in her kennel. :crossed:

I have a couple of days off but as soon as I return from Egypt i will send these special cups to you Elissa, we have soooo many in the house they will not be missed
Congratulations to you both!!!!!!

:yay: :clappurple: :yay:

Hugs from the girls to Zorro!! :yay:
Below is a link to some pictures of Zorro with Chris as he was placed 3rd Best in Group at Liege, Belgium in July.

I drove down to Belgium and took Zorro down to Chris yesterday, Chris will be showing him over the weekend in France. :crossed:

Keep all your fingers and paws crossed it worked well the last time.
I remember when you first go Zorro..........you made him sound like a pitiful pup. Apparently enough people thought he was worth a second chance. You have done a wonderful job with him. Congratulations!!
All crossed here! :crossed:

When I first seen him he was in a terrible state, as I went over him I knew he had potential and could be a good show dog, at that time we were a little afraid he may not fully recover but Zorro is a fighter and he has proved this fact over and over again.

Nobody should treat a dog the way he was treated even when it may be ignorance and especially when the breeder lives a short distance away and would have helped.

Thanks for the compliment and honestly we have only given him a second chance which he deserves, in return he is paying us back by becoming a good show dog and winning at shows. We were convinced that we would never repeat the success we had in 2007 with Misty but if you ask me know I am convinced he will also have his highlights.

Thanks to all of you have sent your best wishes to him and especially to all of you who keep your fingers crossed, his success is your success as well and lastly we will be ever thankful to Elissa then I am convince she saved his life.
The pictures are great! Zorro is a superstar, I'm very much enjoying hearing about his adventures :D
We have just found out that with the CACIB he also becomes the title "VDH Leipzig Sieger 2009" his first title. :excited:
Sounds great...but I have no idea what that means. lol
What does it mean?

There are a few shows held each year where when you receive the CACIB the dog carries the title of that show.

He is officially VDH Leipzig Sieger 2009 which means (German Kennel Club Leipzig Winner 2009) Dogs

He is entered in a couple of shows where titles are awarded

Dortmund Germany: VDH Bundessieger 2009
(Germen Kennel Club Federal Winner 2009

Herning Denmark: Nordic Winner 2009

Amsterdam Holland: Amsterdam Winner 2009

Brussels Belgium: Brussels Winner 2009

The above show is not far away from Wendy
 Well then, Congrats!!! :clappurple:
Congrats Zorro and Stewart!
Zorro was entered in a show in France yesterday, he was places 2nd in a group of 15 dogs. You can't win all the time and with such a big group this is an excellant result.
Congratulations guys :!:   :cheer: :cheer: :go: :go: :clappurple: :clappurple:
In France to qualify for the Champion the dog / bitch has to pass a character test, since she war there and there was such a test taking place on the Saturday morning Chris entered Zorro, we are happy to say he passed with flying colors.
Way to go Stewart and Zorro! I hear we have the same cold too!
I'll post my brags under my own and let you have your glory here!!!
Ali & Kids
Okay...........I am alive. lol. Here are pictures from Expocan D.F. 10 day marathon.................

Image This was our hotel across the street from the World Trade Center (where I got lost in the parking lot....its 8 levels! and i was walking) We had a whole floor on one side, with a terrace for the dogs!

ImageCalypso's idea of a day after the dog show.

Image
Image Yes thats me wringing my hands in the background, this was for Best In Show.....
Image yet another Group 1 !

Image our TWO new Latin American, Mexican Champions!

coming back we 'thought' we were leaving D.F., in time, as my license plate ends in a 5. I cannot drive in D.F. on Mondays. Nope we got pulled over for a 'bribe' . Rod kept his cool and i lost the translation in the rapidly spoken flowing spanish. They were wanting 350.00 to let us go. Rod said NO. About that time ANOTHER Federale came up and found out what was going on. He told us to leave, which we wasted no time in doing so!!

After getting to a Dr. found out i had pneumonia. It's taken a week, but I'm okay. Then last week my old high school friend said she was bringing her mom to Puebla for her 80th birthday.........on the 27th. So, I got into the car, and drove to Puebla yesterday.......... only to find out that even though she wrote September, she meant OCTOBER, so i turned around and drove home. But, next month will go back to Puebla as that is the same weekend as the Puebla shows...... I hope to be back for the Dia de Muerte (Day of the Dead) festivities here......... they are soemthign to NOT be missed i have been told! I have been invited to a costume ball at the 'castle" (will post pictures on that one.) and chairity dinner to benefit the hospital for the poor........... it's a good cause!!

I'll try to get pictures of all the festivals betwween now and then. Checkers is doing MUCH better with the fireworks now..........ALMOST barely flinches!

Mas Tarde..........
Ali, Peepers and the 2 new Latin American Champions!!
