car washes

first let me say that I had a blond moment that effected poor Holly

Yesterday me and my daughter were doing some running around and Holly and my daughters new puppy had to go with us.... well while I was filling up the car I noticed it was dirty so I purchased a car wash from Getgo (they have the long blue clothes that you drive thru and the big twirly brushes ) and proceeded into the carwash. Well Holly FREAKED :twitch: I felt so bad she climbed from the back seat to the front where my daughter was and tried to fit on her lap and when that didn't work she continued to SQUEEZE herself onto the floor 8O her wiggle butt sticking up in the air but she made it. My daughter was not too happy with her and I can't believe she FIT!! I felt so bad b/c I did chuckle a bit the whole scene was something to see!! I just took something so simple for me for granted oops sorry Holly I bad! I promise to never do one of those carwashes again!!

I have always done car washes with the dogs in the car - reminds me I need to get the car washed.

Some like it some don't - I make them all cope. When you think about it its a lot like being caught in a bad rain storm and you wouldn't want them acting out then.
Poor Holly!!
So your daughters pup was OK with the car wash??
I have done it too.....Quin didn't like it but, Finn goes with me all the time!
She'll get over it!!
yes my daughters puppy Bella did awesome she just looked at Holly like "what is the problem this is cool"
I hate to stress Holly out, ever since the house fire she scares pretty easily. I know it's important for her mental health to overcome certain things and we do try to work on things like that but the carwash I think was just too much :lmt:
maybe you could start out sitting in the car with her with the sprinkler going and gradually upgrade to the hose etc. ?
