Second Interview

Well....Tuesday morning, I have a second interview with the CFO and Owner of the company. Pretty exciting, huh?

We are meeting at Starbucks at 7 am. Can I order a skim latte, or is that too fancy...should I just get coffee?

The CFO and I have exchanged some delightful emails. I really like his spirit, and feel I we would work well together. He even told me, he will be retiring in a couple years, and he feels I could walk into his position. (Hmmm....do I really want to be the CFO of 4 dealerships at 62?)

Ok...what do I wear? I think I have to go shopping this weekend!

Also, to my facebook friends, please don't mention this on FB. Several of my co-workers are on there, I want to keep this mum. Thanks!!!!!

Deborah, you will be 62 even if you aren't CFO of 4 dealerships. Age is irrelevant! Of course you need a new outfit, but nothing fancy. Just a classy outfit that you would normally wear at work (at the new job, not the old job). And there's nothing wrong with a skim latte!
Agree with Paula on all things!!! Listen to her!!!! ...oh!! and GOOD LUCK!!!!
Woohoo - good luck!

And, of course have fun shopping for the new outfit.
Glad to hear you got a second interview! Good luck!!!!!
Good luck!!!!
Skim latte is fine. Stay away from the high sugar/cream stuff that are oh so good......but you know that!

Yes, you want to run the dealerships as a final crown on your working life. You are in good health, good mind, give it a final stretch at this point. Then you too can find your own replacement and bow out gracefully knowing you've done your best.

But first you must be hired, so dress for success....does this mean new shoes and purse too?

New shoes, definately. I've been wearing flip flops (nice ones) all summer, and that will never do for an interview. I do have a nice collection of purses at home, so I'm safe on that!
Congrats!

New outfit for sure, and order what you like, confidence is a good thing and they will detect it. Good luck!
Best o luck on that interview
GOTCHA!!!
Good Luck!!!!! :cheer: :cheer:
New or an old one in good repair - which ever gives you more confidence.

My husband works directly under the CFO of 3 dealerships. She has been there for 20 years. It is a great job - she is well paid and delegates most of the work. She is usually there from 10 -2 or so. So don't fear the job.
GOOD LUCK!!
And have fun shopping for the new interview outfit.
Happy shopping this weekend :D
Better set the alarm on Tuesday morning. That's a really early meeting...or it would be for me!
Good luck! :crossed: :crossed: for you!
Woooo hoooo!!! Second interview!!! Woo hoo hoo!!!!

Enjoy a coffee, be yourself -- relax as much as possible. Try to enjoy the whole experience -- it's wonderful to interview when you don't need a job!
That is exciting Deb. You will do great.
This is great news.
I heard that you should always wear dark blue on an interview.
Good luck. :crossed:
