Bailee welcomes his new "Cuz"

I had posted a message a couple of weeks ago about our son and Daughter in Law & Grandchildren adopting a Keeshond pup. Well, yesterday was Bailee's (70 lbs +) introduction to Jazmyn (8 lbs. 4 oz.) We were concerned that just by sheer size to mention nothing about his "playfulness" :) Bailee might accidently hurt the new kid on the block. Well, the results are in and Bailee was absolutely a total Gentleman! :) As suggested by some of the members here, we had them meet outside, on neutral turf. Bailee was great with her. She was great with him too, even if she never saw anything that BIG before! We knew he was really a social fellow but he was so good we were shocked. The outside meeting went so well we proceeded to take them both inside our son's home and they were even better. They played, they calmed down and Jaz even went to sleep. We are looking forward to more "Play-dates" and I just want to thank those that gave us that great advice.

Good boy Bailee!!!! What a sweetheart. :hearts:
Please make sure you explain to Tiggy what "gentle" means.
How pretty he is. And how big. Is the small size of the little dog just making Bailee look that much bigger? He sure is a cutie.
What a sweet boy! :D
Glad to hear it went well. :D

When you live with your guy you really don't realize just how big he or she may be. Bailee does look eye level to our kitchen counters and actually looks down a little bit to the top of our table. He does seem TALL though. We go to the Vet in a couple of weeks (he turns one next month) so we should find out his weight then. I'm lucky in that we usually walk between 3 and 4 miles a day in total so all that helps to keep him lean, but yes I guess he may be on the BIG side. Some of the neighbors have suggested I saddle him and go for a ride. We have a Great Dane down the street from us and when they met, it was like BOTH of them had never seen a dog as big as the other one. They both did their sniffing and seemed to get along fine, although the Dane's owner was worried they might have problems. Thankfully everything was calm. That would be a real fun time, trying to separate 2 BIGGIES! His new Cuz will be between 30 and 40 pounds when fully grown.
what a kind soul he has
