Do,Your dogs have a Bedtime?

My dogs know exactly when bed time is. Tey wiat by our bedroom door to get into their crates for bed! It is so funny. I am an adult and I now have a curfew!!!

Four to five days of the week I leave for work by 7:30 am which means wake up time is around 5ish. Bed time around here is between 9 and 9:30. They get walked for the last time about then and its off to bed. But on some nights I run late and at 9 or about, both are waiting to go in for bed. So funny!

Do your dogs have a bedtime with a night time routine?

I'm usually on my laptop on the couch in the evening and as soon as they hear the lid snap when I close it, they all take off up the stairs before I even get up. It's one time when Clyde moves the fastest. Clyde and Bear take their places next to the bed and Owen gets on the bed and lays with me while I read. When I'm ready to sleep, I tell Owen "Hit the sack!!" and he jumps off and goes in his room across the hall and waits for me to come in and lead him into his crate.

All my dogs sleep as long as I do. On the weekends, no one is up until at least 10:30 or 11:00 and, even then, I usually have to coax Clyde up. It's nice having lazy dogs. If I had to get up early just for them, I probably wouldn't have dogs!
Simon the basset is my bedtime dog. He obviously came from a very structured home (I adopted him at age 6, and he's 10 now). At 8:45 he is ready for bed. He sleeps on the loveseat and if someone is on it, he starts pacing and giving you those big brown, sad basset eyes....
He also is my morning dog...... :?
Most times Jenny is ready to go to bed at 11:00 on week nights. On weekends she stays up later, but there are some nights when she is ready before we are and trust me she lets us know about it. And they say dogs can't talk, obviously "they" has never met a sheepie.
we go to bed late in our house. The dogs are not allowed upstairs, but dead on 11 at night they walk to the back door go out for wees and then mooch back in, have a bit of kibble and then dawdle into the front room. As soon as hubby puts the dishwasher on they go back in the kitchen and get on chair or dog bed. We dont shut them in the kitchen but you would think we did. Every morning about 6.45 yorkie barks at foot of stairs and they both go out garden again. Like alarm clocks!!
Charlie goes to bed when I go. Where we live now there is only 1 floor and my bedroom is off the livingroom. Sometimes while I'm still watching tv, she's off to my room and sleeps next to my bed as she always does! Latestly when I'm ready for bed she follows me anyway! LOL It's like an guardian! Once I'm asleep she goes back in the livingroom. She rarely sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen!

In the morning, she wakes me up every day licking my face. She normally does it at the same time, but right now, because I'm not working, she wakes me up when she thinks it's time for!
they sure do. at 9 PM they go to the back door to go out and pee. Then in they come. Snowy will go into her crate and wait for her treat. We get the 3 treats and give her, hers then Lily goes in on her own and she gets hers. Next is Bear and he goes right in and gets his treat. all creates are locked and off to sleep they go. Up at 4 and out.
On weekends they stay in till 5 AM but no later than than.
I love it .....just better than when the kids were home!!!!!
All three of mine know the routine. Usually, all three will stand and just stare at me. I'll ask, is it bedtime? and they will head for the bedroom. T turn on the TV and Violet and China each sleep on the floor different sides and Asia climbs on the bottom of the bed. Usually during the night I feel China climb on board and lay in the "C" of my legs. If they run out of water in their bowl during the night, China will come and tap me on the elbow with her nose....so I'll get up and refill their bowl.
oh helen you are so funny .. my boys at 9 sharp then run to the bedroom they know i turn themain a/c off and in the bedroom i have a window unit making cooler of course for them dreamer then takes 99% of the bed while my legs and butt are almost off the bed!! at 5;45 am dreamer then falls on my chest to wake me..
