My new car

Image

2010 Camry SE. Barcelona red is the color. It has sporty trim, whatever that means. And dual exhaust, whatever that means. I got it Friday evening--my plan was just to test drive on Friday but you know how that goes! It's a lot bigger than my Civic and handles really great.

That's the barn in the background. I was only able to take one picture before I got the message "batteries exhausted." Must be very tiring to take a picture!

Congratulations! I had a solara in the same color, which I loved. Just be careful, the red stands out. I got pulled over a lot in that car
Nice Car! I had a bright red Saturn back in the 90's. I swear it had magnets that were connected to the State Troopers cars! I got more warnings & tickets with that car than any other! Since then, I've opted for more subtle colors  . But I do have to admit that bright red is still my favorite color on a car. 8)
Wait a minute here.........i thought our options were green and metallic grey? Very pretty car, enjoy!
YAY!!! That's exciting!! I love new car smell.
Congrats, Paula! Beautiful car! You will never be sorry with your choice!

So Toyota has kept Barcelona Red, huh? Both Dale's '08 Camry and my '08 Prius are in Barcelona Red.
I love your new car!!! Red is my fav color on a car.
The dark green was so dark that it looked black, and I didn't like the metallic grey either. My fave color for cars is red (this is my 3rd) so when I saw this, I said "that's the one." It's a pretty red, not cherry red or maroon. Almost a bright cranberry. It's much prettier in person.

I've always thought someone should make perfumes that smell like new cars and puppy breath. Two of the best smells in the world.

Congrats on the new car. It's very pretty, I like the red.

They do make a "New Car Smell" prooduct. We've gotten it at the place we wash the cars.
:D Congratulations! that is a lovely shade of red. :roses: I'm thinking about a new car but haven't started to look for one yet due to the extreme heat! 8O
:) Very nice. I knew you were going to end up buying when I heard there was a "test drive" on the agenda.
Niiiiiice caaaaaar!

Drive it in good health!
Nice car -- love red!
Congrats! Good choice. Beautiful car. Have fun.
Good pick...a Toyota will last you as long as the Civic..
Auntie Paula! You did great!!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the color. I know that green color, it's very dark evergreen-ie.

Can't wait for Sammy to meet her little brother or sister (do you know which it is yet, and does it have name?)

Congrats and MAZEL TOV!!!
Congrats on the new red car. I love the barn picture - all that RED!
VAROOOOM there goes Paula in her new car  :D

Congrats love the colour too. Hot red  :D
Just an update 5 years later. The car is paid off!!!!   Got the title. Only 59K miles so good for another 50K, right?????
No! Way more than that!! My 2003 Camry has 114,000 miles on it and drives like it did when it was brand new.
My 1998 Camry had 139,000 when I sold it and that also ran like it was new.
With regular maintenance Toyota's last forever! That is why there are still so many old ones on the road.
Congrats on paying it off! :high5:

YEAH AUNTIE PAULA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just reading this for the first time.
Congrats on paying the car off. Always a good feeling.

If people only knew what new car smell was made up of, they wouldn't be so quick to want to inhale it.
It's full of VOCs, -aldehydes, and other chemicals that outgas from all the different plastics, fabrics, foams, carpets, paints, coatings, and adhesives used when assembling a car. Very unhealthy.
It's bad enough that the manufacturers are working on ways to eliminate these chemicals. When they do, there will be no such thing as new car smell.
Good chance! Today's cars just last longer than our parents' cars, but then my father was a traveling salesman........ :lmt: so rereading the original posts, met any state troopers in that flashy car?

My Honda has 124,000 and like new but I know Honda's reputation for tranny problems around 140,000. Hopefully mine hasn't read the reports.
I have a 2005 Camry in red, also. It's got 235K miles on it and going strong. I did replace struts and brakes but that's it.
Congrats Paula, it's such a great feeling to pay that last payment!!!!!! Awwwwww :clappurple:

We are a Toyota family and our cars last forever. Regular maintenance is key, we use the dealer. Our 2000 Tundra had 253000 when we sold it last year for much more than I thought we'd get. They don't really lose much value. Your car will last many more years. Enjoy.
