My Jack Russell was prescribed Reconcile he weighs about 10lbs and I was told to give him 1/2 of a 32 mg tablet I did this for 3-4 days and all he did was sleep. I thought he would just have to get used to it. I lowered it to a 1/4 of a tablet and eventually was just giving him a pinch of it daily. I finally stopped all together. He was barely able to go out to the bathroom and I had to make him get up to go eat. He is off of it now but still doesn't act right he seems tired all the time almost depressed. He has been off it for about 3 weeks. We have quite a distance to travel to the vet so we haven't made it back to their office yet but I do plan to take him soon. I did pick up some doggy vitamins today at the vets office in our town. Someone told me the medicine could have damaged his liver etc. Has anyone used Reconcile? I think he has irreversable damage from it. |

| is may have happened but not sure. I'll try to do more research for you on this. I do know that I have had 3 friends who had dogs on Rimidyl which died of kidney failure. Vets seem not to be informing clients as to how toxic these drugs are! I have a degree in science plus do 2-3 hours research a week trying to find the truth about these meds( HUMAN AND ANIMAL!) I do animal rescue and want to protect them as much as possible |
