Not sure what is going on here. Trainer is confused too.

Simon has decided not to jump anymore. Correction...Not to jump much anymore. This started last week when instead of jumping, he walks under the bar. If he can't walk under, he goes around.

I lowered the bar from 20in to 18in and thats when he did the limbo. Brought in down another two and that he jumped. I took it back to 18in and got him to jump and we all watched to see if maybe he was in pain. No one noticed anything different.

He does everything else and has a blast doing it but I wonder if this is just Simon being stubborn Rolling Eyes or if something hurts.
Marley went through a stage as a younger dog where she refused to jump - anything. At the time we thought she was being stubborn, but if it were to happen now I would first have a sports vet check her over (or a chiro or rehab person) and secondly I would ask how I was training the jump. Right now we are retraining after an injury using Linda Mecklenburg's book and I am just sorry we didn't have an instructor who really knew what they were doing the first time around.

FYI - she now tells me I have pushed her too much in practice by laying down next to the jump, so Simon could be telling you what you are doing is too much for him a tthe moment. Confused
