Stressed...naaaaah!

>>waves to friends

Let me try to get this down in 1000 words or less!
:?

See dream house on MLS last year- perfect for animals! Extensive double lot, pathways,3 car garage, hedges, gardens - indoor hot tub (perfect for therapy for aged dogs), 1 entire city block completely fenced. Affordable as the second lot was originally Hydro Land and owner not allowed to build. No matter as this is what makes it affordable and you want it for an animal sanctuary.

Karma plays a role as b/f finally gets working visa and now with two incomes ability to purchase that dream house.

There is a glitch as during legal signing turns out property is not double lot as stated but three separate addresses. Lots of negotiating with bank, both realty companies and others to change and not be charged extra. Lots of sleepless nights.

Although you know that it is not in the best interest to buy another place fore house is sold. Impossible in multi-pet household as one needs to move animals over first - then rent or sale previous home. Safety of animals is priority. Plus easier to finish painting without all the animals around and have people view home with no animals.

Worse storm snow of the century hits - you have a choice move animals or furniture over. (You know what I chose don't you?)

First day - b/f slips on the ice and sprains his ankle- it's now left up to me to shovel snow (8 car driveway - can't park on the road as there are ditches the length of the property).
Heavy snow breaks 20 foot limbs from tree and falls on driveway...you remove them and call Hydro. They cut some limbs but leave the rest for you to clean up.
Snow finally disappears but rainy season starts
Sewer backs up into home, black goo comes bubbling up from shower in Hot Tub room.
Insurance company/contractor and city inspectors arrive.
Machines run 24/7 in home for 2 wks to decontaminate room and crawl space.
Snow finally disappears, lawn mowing season starts
B/f slips and sprains shoulder.
Now it is up to the lil woman to mow 1/2 acre with push lawn mower and go to previous home to mow lawn there too.
Trim extensive hedges around house with hand held clipper
Race back and forth daily to work, other home and then current home.
Feed 30 animals before work (it's important they are different breed as all diet requirements will be different) This ensures you will chop/slice/pour/spoon out various foods and race up and down stairs and out to various pens.
Make sure van breaks down and have it towed 3 times to dealership for fixing. Make sure this happens in the winter in that humongous driveway so that you need to shovel for 2 vehicles to pass - tow truck and van. (sorry I regressed)
Finally give up and rent vehicle for a month.
Give this up and purchase reliable vehicle.
You now have 2 morgages and new vehicle payment.
With warmer weather, furniture can now be moved to new place.
Son moves out of his place and shows up and stuffs garage with entire contents of his place until he finds a new home. He goes to live with a friend.
Must purchase 2 giant 12 by 12 previous Mastiff cage to house bunnies in the garage, the other placed outside.
Due to snow/busy schedule permanent bunny pen was not built this will have to do for now.
This means daily exercise as bunnies will be carried outside for fresh air. 15 bunnies times 2 trips back and forth.
Unexpectedly get rescue Pitbull pup before the move so he needs to attend obedience and slow intro to all the animals. This too will require constant movement on the care giver.
Now 3 car garage is full of bunnies and son's stuff...while your own furniture is still at previous home.
New house has 1 kitchen table/2 chairs and bed, few dishes
You decide to stage other house for sale and leave furniture there for the time being.
Hire painter brother who you haven't spoken to in 20 years to paint the last room (as you guys know I spent 2 years fixing up the house myself perviously) This was the last thing that needed to be done.
Discuss colors/pay in advance He paints bright colors on doors (in little squares) and swatches of various colors on walls. He paints rooms that were previously painted in multi-colored hues so that no two walls are alike. Melts back of stove and breaks antique piano. Suspect substance abuse.
He won't leave for 2 months and the paint tubs are multiplying! Worse he carts everyone else's junk from his other jobs into the home.
Fire your own brother but he still won't leave.
Gather all paints/junk and say you need to move back in as now the work is going to be done on current home.
Workman arrive and begin ripping down walls/floors in hot tub room while you singlehandedly hold back 3 dogs.
As 1/2 acre lot is all fenced in - there is no back/front yard..it's all one yard! They go out one door and race around to greet workman who leaves gates open to cart in their stuff.
You take dogs to live at other place/thankfully brother doesn't like dogs and says "that's what I get for helping you". You remember why you haven't spoken to him in 20 years.
Redo all the painted walls yourself and can't afford to hire anyone else.
This means you will remain skinny as you are now working/caring for 30 animals/ and looking after all the upkeep of two homes.
B/f often gets sent out of town on business.
Summer holidays and for the first time you decide to not work as you are too busy at home...however means no paycheck for 2 months.
Mom wins 13,000 at casino!!
Mom wants to take daughters and nephew to Europe.
Can't go so mom is mad.
Sister wants me to look after her 30 animals and I say no, I can't
Sister is mad
They stop talking to me and last I heard they are in Europe
summer starts and grass grows at alarming rate but you still continue to mow.
Son is really sick and unable to work so moves back home.
Other son who has always been incredibly passes out at work. Ends up in the hospital.
The same day you have two sons in different hospitals in different parts of town.
This means lots of trips to doctors, cooking is added to now overwhelming list.
Heat wave weather that is breaking all sorts of records but you continue to work daily on upkeep of yard and home as various people in and out all day.
Freak storm one night and water from ditches which are the length of the block back up onto driveway and into garage. Drains outside of garage can't hold all the water and overflowing.
Calls to city engineer emergency- they in turn call firedept to save bunnies.
Fireman arrive with sirens on...bunnies saved but you are covered in urine soaked water and don't get a chance to flirt with fireman.
Choice was made under duress - animals or documents..ANIMALS of course!
Important documents/keepsakes/photos and boxes of momentos (years of performing) are soaked and need to be peeled individually and placed in hot sun to dry.
Documents were just placed there in heat wave weather the previous day as workmen needed access to room with crawlspace.
File cabinet too heavy to move so you placed documents in boxes and placed them in the garage only temp.
Shake your head at the irony.
Heat wave weather continues, and now you must stand on blacktop while documents dry as they are sensitive and you can't afford for anyone to steal them or have them blown away.
Time this so that dogs are in/garage door is open to air out/documents drying/son is fed and looked after currently resting/ sick cats are given meds , against better judgement took in an abuse case (kitty) who needed care/ plus foster cats and one's own.
Take dogs to previous home back and forth daily as now work as started again in hot tub room, floors are being ripped up and tiles installed.
Look blankly at people when they wonder what's taking you so long to sell/rent previous home.
Smile as one day you will once again munch on chips/drink coffee and participate in this forum.

There's one important thing that has to happen in order for all of these other things to happen. You have to continue to live. Healthily. So if you want all of the animals, BF and son to be taken care of, ya gotta take care of you first.

(((((HUG)))))
oh my stress.....................

and I thought all my illnesses and falls were bad
Just another day in the life of Marianne!
Seriously, wow!

You are an incredible woman. For all that you have done for other people's kids and animals, you have earned some good luck. I just haven't figured out why it hasn't happened to you yet.

Hang in there.

And you don't have to worry about working out.... (trying to come up with positives)
:ghug: Marianne you are a wonder woman, I wish I was closer so that I could come and help you :ghug:
Marianne - take a few minutes, park yourself in view of that beautiful lawn and deep breathe.....in, out, in, out..... :)

Seriously - take some "me time", say "NO" to some of the demands (the ones you can) and take care of yourself. Granted, some cause more stress if you ignore them, but try for a happy medium. Please. :D
 :twitch:  :twitch: whoa  :twitch:  :twitch:

Sheesh...and I thought my life was stressful right now! You have SO got me beat Marianne!!!
OMG Marianne!!!!
You doll...Crap seems to always happen to
the tough/good ones :(
I know it is crazy and as Dawn said take some time for you!
You know we are always here for you..
:ghug:
Poor Marianne - I really don't know how on earth you do all the things you do without going insane! Just look after yourself too!

Good vibes coming your way.
Holy chaos!! I agree with the others, you MUST take care of yourself and learn to say no or the whole deck of cards will fall. Your new yard is beautiful, I see why you bought it. I too bought this house without selling first thinking all the townhouses on my block sold within 2 weeks - 7 months later i was finally closing. Hang in there, it will eventually all work out and you will soon be in your new home enjoying the animals and that gorgeous yard.
hugs to you you are fantastic!
Holy crap Marianne. :cow:

But seriously, you, under 1000 words? :P

:ghug:
It's good to keep busy

I think you secretly thrive on it, if you didn't you'd be in the nut house!
Wow Marianne!! 8O
I hope things slow down a bit for you and you can start enjoying the new place.
Finger's crossed that the old place sells quickly!!
:ghug:
Run away and visit us here maz  Things now have to improve, that and your an amazing strong person all should settle down back to normality soon

The new place and gardens is just stunning.

xxLisa
:ghug:
