ohhhh nooooo

Well, I have a mobile groomer come each Friday to bath my boys....I asked her to cut the bottom of Lucky's beard because it gets so dirty and drips water everywhere. When she came in I was so upset!!! She SHAVED the beard completely and also the top of his snout!!!! He looks terrible :(
Does anyone know how long it will take to grow back? He looks like a wolf

just another stage - assume they grow hair at the rate of 1/2 inch a month. It will be wet and drippy in no time
That is a hideous look on an OES...... :( My foster OES Otis came with that look. He had poodle feet too - aparently he was tracking in mud and grandma got happy with the scissors....

It will grow back. But never fast enough.
Another reason I would never have someone I don't trust (translate: knows I will kill them if they screw up by trimming my dog in some hideous non-OES shape 8O ) trim on my dog.

Thus, Chewie will get his post-show-dog trim by me...... Hopefully it works out. I can always use the clippers if it goes wrong, right?
I'm not ready for a nekkid Chewie, so please scissor trim carefully.

We are in our rainy period, muddy sheepdog paws......I'm ready to "Poodle cut" 8 paws........ARGH!

Trust me, I'm not ready for that extreme either.... 8O

Don't! trust me, it is a perfectly horrid look. I wanted that to grow out more than the pointy muzzle!!
I feel the muddy paws pain though. Spring is a nightmare at our house.
Oh please do NOT poodle cut them!! I told the old groomer to make my Bichon a bit shorter and she gave him a poodle cut. He looked so bad..like he was sickly. Lucky really really looks different without his hairy nose.....My oldest son said he looked sick.....
Well...it is just hair, right? it will grow back, right? he is still a star, right?
I say that because so many people literally come looking for us when I walk him because he has the reputatuion around here as the new beautiful big black & white dog.....
I really hope it grows back quickly. On the bright side...it should be full for Christmas pictures!!

Oh as foir muddy paws...we live in Florida...rainy season is terrible. However..Lucky now comes into the lanai and lays down on his side..head and all, and lets me completely wipe off all fours!!!!!
I got the wolf look on my 10 month old baby too  She is starting to grow back to normal and its been about 6 weeks...I will admit, the lack of beard was nice for a while
I had a similar experience with my groomer...the hair on the nose seems to take a longer time to grow in...This time I left a list of what to cut and what not to cut.
probably better doing these things yourself in small stages, at least you can stop before making your sheepies nekkid!
