The Prince and the Pea

Woodrow is just about 6 months old now. He sleeps in his crate every night, but before he goes to bed, we bring him up into our bed to lay with us for an hour or so. For some reason, he always seems to gravitate towards the same spot....on the pillow on top of my head, against the headboard. He must think it's the comfiest spot or something....

It's actually quite cute (for now at least....before he's 100 pounds). Does anyone else's sheepie do this?????

yep! snowy loves to lay on the very top of my pillow as much as she can.

then its snake time and she is in her crate before anyone can get there. funny she is out like a light in 10 min. :P :P
panda has to spend about an hour before bedtime on the bed also...thank God she doesnt sleep on top of the pillows...its bad enough that she take up 3/4 of the king size bed right up against me in this super heat...but she also has to be touching brian too....

so imagine me on the edge of the bed, pandas back shoved against me, laying on her side..all four legs stretched out, two front paws touching brian.....(which she also uses to scratch him to get his attention) :)
This makes me laugh! Our 16lb Westie hogs the whole bed, doesn't matter if it is Queen or King sized. He shoves his back right up against mine and if I move a little bit to get more room, he also moves a little to get right back against me. Pretty soon, I am on the very edge of the bed while he is sprawled out. When Sammy joined us she would only stay a few minutes to snuggle then jump off as she would get too overheated. Plus she didn't like me kicking her to stop her from snoring or grunting or moaning. That sweetie was the noisiest sleeper!
Tiggy love, love, loves our bed. When she gets a bit hot she rolls belly up but stays with her head snuggled and stretches out to take up the whole bed. :D She usually tries to keep her head on the pillow.
DH took this pic when he came to bed late and couldnt fit in our queen size bed.

Our Westie does the "sleep on the pillow" thing. But I can handle that. Our sheepie doesn't bother us much on the bed at all at night. In the morning, he has to jump up to wake us up and get his cuddle time in! I love waking up to sheepie kisses (most of the time).

Um, is this a family friendly photo, Mim?
'Course! Its a pic from my fairy tale book. The princess and the pea(head)(guess which one is the princess and which one is the peahead) :D :D :D
do they make a double king but it doesn't matter dreamer pushes into me all nite i wake up and i might have 1 inch no ownder i have back aches. oh the best part ever morning he wakes me by sitting on me
Such fun!
Our cat is the only one of the animals in our bedroom at night, and he is a bed hog too. He just pushes with his legs extended - and he has claws!
Tiggy doesnt get to stay!!! 8O
We wouldnt get any sleep and the cat, also a bed hog, takes up more than his fair share.
And yes occasionally I have the odd tiny little scratch to prove that I was in the wrong place and his highness was not amused.
I had the cutest foster sheepdog for three months while recovering from extreme neglect and she only slept on the pillow at the head of the bed. She never moved from that spot all night. Patch didn't really care that she was up on the bed because she likes the wood or stone floor.
