picture this

This is a story from a friend's friend:

I was approaching the gate leading to the pastures. Lying on one side of the fence line are the cows, five feet from the fence, backs turned to the alpaca pasture.

In the alpaca pasture are the alpaca, all standing lined up along the fence spitting at the cows.

One of the cows turned to me with her big eyes and I swear she rolled her eyes :roll: as if to say, "You've got to be kidding."

About 15 feet away is the sheepdog, tummy side up, oblivous to action.

Gotta know when to use your energy to protect and when to conserve by not getting involved in squabbles.

My question is: Are the Alpacas spitting for a reason or just because they can? Are the cows stuck up?
