Frizzy neck

I showed Maddie in Houston this last weekend, and her neck was so frizzy. I cannot get it to lay down. I have tried my daughters frix-Ez spray she uses on her hair to get the friz out, but now the coat is soft. Any other ideas? We have a show in Longview this weekend. I would like her to look her best for the judges!

Thanks!

You can put a damp shammy over the neck before you go into the ring to keep it flatter. You don't want it so wet that it gets the fur wet, just enough moisture to keep the hair from popping up.
the above,

also can rewash it and blow dry it downward only.
Spritz with water and brush down before going in the ring. Practice 1st - you want a fine mist enough to keep the hair down, but not to actually look/be wet.
I will work with her tonight and tomorrow night. We leave Friday. Yes I will be giving her a bath just because of the softness of her coat since I used the Friz-Ez. I have been wetting her coat down and putting a towel down while I am fluffing her for the ring, but man it loves to stand up. Looks like she has no neck. I am wondering if we stripped to much off of her neck. Who know, I will practice getting it to lay down.

Thanks for all the advise!!

Probably didn't strip too much out. Rather maybe the neck coat itself needs some length. Also, remember not to tease too far back on the head.

Yes I think when I stripped it I made it too short. Well the newbee learned something new! :D
Wouldn't you know it...I have very fine, straight hair...and I get a dog that has friz! LOL
At least that is the only problem we have. I got pretty lucky we do not have to use cornstarch to make her face white...her sister has a wet black mouth! I feel for that groomer!!

Thanks again everyone!! I greatly appreciate it!!
