Calling all "human" medical experts- GROSS RED EYE

Ok-- I should have cropped this. My nose looks huge, and who knew there were so many little hairs on the end of it. (yuck)

I have had this bloodshot eye since before we went on vacation. In fact, this is the reason I have yet to post my Nick Arrojo hairut! I was waiting for the eye to get better. Kind of takes away from the effect-- if you know what I mean. Anywho---I have had broken blood vessels in my eyes before, but this one is kind of creepy, and getting more ucky by the day. It has a pool of blood in the corner- like a blood blister. Anyone ever had this before. I have posted about my blood shot eyes before. I think it is an MS thing... and annoying as h#ll!!!

I know this will be like the "tubes tied" post. Everyone will say "see a doctor". But I don't wanna....

Looks like a broken blood vessle to me...but if you have other medical problems, I would definately see a doctor...do you have high blood pressure? Do you take meds? Does the eye hurt? itch? So many things to discuss. A doctor is really the best option. If you worry about health insurance, go to an emergency. they cannot deny you treatment coverage or not.

YIKES!!!! I have no idea whats up with your eye, but Im curious to hear if anyone knows, because I had a (less severe) but similar-looking eye problem on the worst days of my migraine headaches. :( Does it hurt? Mine didn't, it just looked horrid!
It looks like a large subconjunctival haemorrhage (burst blood vessel) but they usually clear up over a week or two, and its sounds like you've had it for quite a while, which is a bit of a concern.

You do need to have your blood pressure checked as that can cause them, also a blow to the eye, lifting something really heavy (like weight lifters) so can sneezing hard and coughing lots but usually there's no reason. You didnt mention but it shouldnt be painful either.

Check out this link and see what you think.

Doesn't really hurt, per say, but it does "throb". Like a headache in my eye...
Lori
I know you don't wanna hear it and I am the worst
for doctors but, OUCH!
You should see a doctor now...Considering your past problems
please see a doctor!
I say this out of love :hearts:
Yes....see a doctor. Normally for a burst blood vessel, it would go away within a week, or at least be looking like it is resolving.
This sounds a bit more extreme. Sounds like either there is a blood pressure issue or anticoagulation issue? Or MS - not sure about all the associated factors, but I think you need to bite the bullet and go to the doctor.

And, we need to see that hair before it grows out! :D
Have you thought about posting your question on an OB/GYN forum?
Funny you should mention ob/gyn Ron.
After trying to deliver my first monster sized son,
my eyes were both like that. Completely red. No
white at all. I also had red specks all over my face
and neck. Like a million red freckles. It took weeks
for it to go away. Maybe that's why he is the way he
is. (or maybe it's because he's 16)
I looked very "night of the living dead" for his first few
weeks! 8O

I uploaded your pic and it DEFINITELY caught me off guard. I had to hurry and hit approve. ;)

I hope it gets better. That looks bad :(
