Chicken Balti Recipe?

I'm not familiar with Indian cooking...just eating it :P Anyone have any easy-to-understand recipes for Chicken Balti? There are quite a few online but I'd rather start here with a group I feel is pretty trustworthy!

This book is amazing for Indian food -- very authentic says my Indian boyfriend -- and has easy to follow clear instructions. It has several Chicken Balti recipes including one that is called "favorite" that is completely amazing:

India's 500 Best Recipes (Paperback) by Shehzad Husain, Rafi Fernandez, Mridula Baljekar, Manisha Kanani

I bought it used and was worth 10x what I paid.
Ooh thank you! I can't believe I never thought of a cookbook.

(Also thank you to whoever changed my subject title..I'm never good at those)
Thanks Val - I will check that one out. Todd and I really like Indian food.

It shocks me, as Todd is a pretty much basic meat and potatoes midwesterner.
This is my chance to eat different foods that I don't have to make when he is not home!
Dawn -
I'm the same as Todd - I'll take a tuna casserole over trying Thai anyday, but totally fell in love with Indian food in London (and very reluctantly, I might add) and we had such a brilliant balti/curry house up north near Newcastle where we lived and just can't find anything even remotely as good around here.

The most recent restaurant we tried had an ok balti, but I just had the leftovers today and they didn't taste any better :( That's like rule #1 of curry - it always tastes better 2nd and 3rd day!

I've just told hubby and he's begging me to buy that book Valerie! Thanks for the recommendation! I'll still take any other recipes others have, too! Give them all a try, say I!
OK, I just ordered the cookbook :D
I had no idea there would be so much interest! We have made so many amazing meals with that book. . . The Balti Chicken Pasanda is heavenly. . .

We also use "What's Cooking Indian" a fair amount but I'd say it has taken a back seat to the other one. They share an author. This one has step by step pictures for each recipe. I'd say it is a bit more basic:

What's Cooking Indian by Shehzad Husain
As an update - I got an email from amazon, saying the seller was "sold-out" and I had to get a different one ordered. Hope this one works!
I hope so too! I haven't ordered it yet (I'm queen of procrastinating amazon orders) so let us know when you get it!

Next Friday we are trying a place in Eden Prairie called India Palace before heading to the casino. I have heard pretty good things and diner's choice awards! Hopes are highhh.

Still, if we could cook this stuff I'd have it weekly! :P better get to ordering the book!
Let me know about the restaurant. I may need to try it too! :D
