Dog Days in Illinois - Sept 27

The annual Dog Days sponsored by the Chicagoland Old English Sheepdog Club will be held this year on Sunday, September 27 at King's Kennel in Riverwoods, Illinois.

Specific time is yet to be determined, but usually it's from about 1-3pm.

The location is about 20 miles outside of Chicago.

It's sure to be a blast as always! There's a big raffle, demonstrations and visitng time with sheepies and their people. There's a big inside gathering space as well as a huge field in the back for sheepie play time. I never miss a year!

Hope to see you there :D

They moved it up this year! I don't think SheepieFest! is until Oct. 3.

I better check the Jewish holidays and see what we can do.

(How are you feeling?)
Yes, the date has been moved up due to conflicts with the National Club shows in California, organizers being out of town, and the facility being available.
YomKippur starts at sunset that night.
I'm so excited! I've been dying to see a group of Sheepies play. Count Asterisk, Wendel, and I in!

No...but I will need to be prepared before sunset...fasting, repenting, praying...you know...the usual "forgive me G-d" stuff.
The event is usually from 1-3. You can leave early and have plenty of time to repent for your sins. I'm sure you have a bunch of them

Yea, right! As I always tell my Mom, you probably think about your "sins" every day...why need a special day to sit and wallow.

I was just thinking of this today and thought I'd see when it was. We're usually in New England when it's going on, but since they moved it back i think we can make it.

Do I just call that number to RSVP?

Look forward to meeting you and your sheepies!!

Sue, Greg & Lola
Oh I was confused, I was thinking of SheepieFest ( I just saw the other posts)
Is Dog Days open to everyone?

I think we'll be gone for SheepieFest (yet again) but would love to meet some other sheepies!

Thanks

Liz and I are leaving in 45 minutes!
see y'all there!
We had another very enjoyable time at Dog Days in Riverwoods. Deborah (debcram) came with Lizzie this year! Foz had a grand ole time barking at all the dogs and running with the puppies. He still keeps up!

I didn't take many pics as I was a little preoccupied with Evan this year. He was great just sleeping in his stroller.

About the "made to be a mommy" statement, that is still up for debate! I'm very conflicted about the not being able to think for myself or about myself first.

The weather was goregeous!
