HEART...(therapy)T.O.U.C.H student!!!!!!
YEA!!!! HEART!!!!! She has some issues with shaking bags, but not so bad that it prevented her from passing. NOW....a 3 month commitment..((one class every week)) and a final test to pass the program....and Heart will be able to legally wear Pearl's harness she tried on when she was 3 months old!!!!  |

| My goal when Heart came to me was to continue being involved with pet therapy~~~ and she was THE one to be my third TOUCH dog .
To that end, I have made it a point to get her into many different activities....Dog Scouts, Agility, Rally, STLOES Club to name a few. In the process of getting her HERE....we have made many, many friends, spent a lot of quality time together, have totally bonded AND got a few ribbons!!!! How happy am I?????????????????? :D |

The 3 month of classes prepare both of us to visit various facilities. She will learn how to approach a wheelchair...(I will learn the politically correct way of talking to people with disablilites) . She will learn to walk backwards to fit in a small space. (I will learn how to really listen to my dog. To know the signs of HER stress, or when she is uncomforable etc.) She will learn how to rise to a bed without hurting the client. How to sit on a chair close to a high hospital bed. How to leave any and all things that are on the floor. How to politely greet...She and I will learn it all. We will learn to work as a team!!!!!! It's soo funny...when I first began approx. 20 years ago with Millie...I was the youngest in the class...I will now probably be the oldest!!!!  And this will be my LAST TOUCH dog...After Heart retires, I will probably be in my late sixties....  By then I will need a TOUCH dog!!!!!! |

You have no idea how proud I am of the two of you. I knew from the time you first contacted me about a pup that you would be one of the most loving and caring homes I could have asked for for "our" Heart. I also knew from the first moment that Heart was the pup to do this. She would sit in the whelping box and WATCH all that was going on. Carefully looking at all going on and very very calm. You and Heart make a breeder proud. She has the beauty AND the brains and you have worked so hard to prove this. Thank you.
