Kristine (Mad Dog) and Macy have a brag.....

We showed this weekend in WI, and I came over for a major that broke. Just needing the 3 point major, getting winners dog both days was not that helpful :( :(

here is our 2 lounging on the tables-

Kristine and Macy just needed points, so they were doing well on Saturday..... but Sunday.......  - I will let Kristine share that one :D

Not to be totally heartless - here is a teaser picture - a BIG hint for those who can see what's going on.... 8)

LOL - good eye, Stacey
Yes Kristine - that is a BIS show ring. We know you are out there so don't keep us waiting.

You can bet if Sybil did something "unusual" she'd be on here in a minute posting about it
I think Dawn's pic makes it pretty self-explanatory:

Mace won breed giving her two of the three at that point remaining pts she needed to finish, then she went in and shocked the pants off of everyone but the judge by winning the group.

No, we didn't go best in show. 8) By then she had remembered that she's actually an agility dog and did a fine job of jumping over one of the sections of matting that covered a metal plate the dogs kept slamming down as they were gaiting.

I can't honestly say I think it hurt her terribly. It was a nice line-up and I was in too much of a daze - the herding group was the last one so it was right back into the ring for Best in Show - trying to fathom how my little class bitch beat one of the top OES specials in the country for breed, and then won the group to be remotely congnizant of the experience...

I'm sure Dawn remembers it better than I do

Waiting to confirm that there were indeed three pts in some herding breed which would mean she is CH Macy, the third from her litter to finish to date.

Was a heck of weekend. Many thanks to Dawn for holding my "stuff", holding my dog, and, when needed, basically keeping me propped upright

Now on to finding Chewie that major!

Hey! I resemble that comment, you wench!

Sybil is pouting over all of the attention Princess Macy received. I have promised to make it up to her and let her take it out on sheep (well...) tomorrow.

Congratulations!
Congratulations, Macy and Kristine!! GRRRReat job!!
Thanks, everybody!

I'm still recovering I think

A few more pictures, courtesy Dawn. She graciously sent them all to me. I've been so busy I've barely had time to upload, so a few more to follow probably.

My herding instructor convinced me to bring my 11 1/2 year old, Belle, out of retirement. I took her to herding last night and she's still grinning. It's been such a wonderful week.

Anyway,

How NOT to gait a dog (Macy taking a flying leap over an imaginary jump in the Best in Show ring

A Group I? Really? Us??? Are you sure???? (where's the drop into a dead faint emoticon when you need it?  )

Here's the embarrassing part: I only knew we won the group after the other three handlers he pulled walked over to their respective numbers and only the #1 was left. I thought we had made the cut. Didn't realize he was going to pull his winners right out of the line.

There should probably be a warning sticker like they have on student drivers on people who have no business being in the group ring but end up there anyway

Your turn next, Chewie, so wipe the lemon look off your face

What is this fascination with my footwear?!! (Dawn & Sunny & Mandy - THANKS!!! :P   )

I think they are. Not orthodpedic comfy, but I was on cement all weekend and didn't feel a thing, so, yes, I do like them. Unfortunately they have a short shelflife in my house because Sybil likes them TOO   :P

I have (had? Oh, SYBIL!!!!!) unlined ones for gardening and bathing dogs. They're great because you just literally hose them off to clean them.

Kristine
Congrats, Kristine! It looks like it was a fantastic weekend! Bravo!

   Very Glamorous Kristine, glad you remembered to change the footware before entering the showring. 8)

My preferred grooming footwear attire is "Uggs" :P
Don't worry Kristine - you aren't alone! Marnie, Sunny and I all wear them too, for grooming anyway! (not in the ring). I haven't got the lined ones yet, but I have tons of pairs. I've even baled hay in them!

Good luck getting the lemon face off Chewie....
For breed ring stuff, anyway.
Wow! Congratulations!
