What are your plans for the 4th of july

We have a stay at home cookout planned. Nothing special.
Still working with only one arm. (not fun)

We will be finally winding down the "Birthday" Season here with my daughter's birthday on the 2nd. Everyone but me is going to the Fireworks for our city. I'm staying home with the dogs. We are also having a Barbecue and go swimming. Fun time.
Dog show :D
Well... the 4th of July happens to be my 50th Birthday. We are having a cookout, and then taking off for Niagaria Falls on the 6th. Some other things planned, but, I will keep you in suspense until the "after" pictures! :P
Due to dogs and fireworks we have to stay close to home. Remember last year when we had an opera on the 4th and got home around 3 a.m. we found Glacie has broken into the house to get away from the snap/crackle/pops.

DH has a 4 day weekend, that will be nice......except I have to plan lunches when he's around....boo
My son turns 6 on the 3rd, so we will be partying thursday
through sunday. Gotta remember to get the fireworks. He
still thinks the fireworks have something to do with his
birthday.
Hoping to not repeat last years trips to the ER and the rest of
the summer stitched up and healing. Cross your fingers for us!

We'll be in Girdwood (funky little tiny town just south of Anchorage) for the "Forest Fair" :go: It's one of my most favorite yearly shows! We'll be taking the dogs, and camping. Thankfully, there are no fireworks to scare the dogs, but there will be lots of bluegrass music, and dancing through the night! 8)
I have to work this holiday weekend - Friday through Monday. They are 12 hour shifts - 7am to 7pm. I had the last 2 holidays off... so my turn to work. We have a big party at our house for the 4th every year. Food, fireworks, bonfire stuff. I will have to go to bed early - bummer. :(
Husband is putting stone around the front bed garden. ...wish it was something he'd let me hire some super cheap laborers to do considering how we want it to look, but he just loves being out in the yard doing stuff. i guess that means I'm cooking inside and then we pray none of the neighbors burn the roof of our house with t heir crazy fireworks.

Our n eighborhood has a huge parade w/fireworks, so we don't have to go anywhere at all, and I never see why our neighbors need to do their own ...being so close to other houses.
Be sure to soak down your roof before the fun begins, Jo
We have a big family picnic on the 4th and Steve usually drags me to fireworks somewhere (I'm not a huge fan). July 5th is our anniversary and we typically go eat at the place we had our wedding, Rosewood Inn. I should call for reservations...
I will be recovering from abdominal surgery, fun fun! I have to have an umbilical hernia repaired on the 2nd, so we'll see how I feel on the 4th. We could possibly go to the fireworks show in town, but we'll see. The cooking will depend on how I'm feeling as well. Hubby would cook if I asked him to, but that could be dangerous
We may close at work on the 3rd in observance of the 4th on Sat. :yay: Not sure quite yet. I'm all for it. I could use the extra day off right now. This has been a very trying week going from our Granddaughter's graduation party :roses: (held here) to our best friend dying 3 days later  to our Godson's graduation party today :cheer: . My dogs have been quite neglected of attention lately. I actually looked forward to grooming out Isaac last night! It was quite peaceful....until he decided to get up at 4AM & then lost his footing in his kennel & couldn't get back up! Luckily, he barked for me so I could help him. He's 11 years & almost 3 months old & although his hips are OFA excellent he has some arthiritis in his lower spine. Gave me a good enough scare that I slept in the kennel next to him for the rest of the night! 8O So an extra day off to spend with the dogs would be very welcome here. As for the actual 4th....will probably just have another couple over for swimming & a little cookout if the weather is nice. 8)
4th of July is like Christmas in our little town. We have a big BBQ here at the house for our friends. All kinds of events go on around town during the day, all within walking distance. It's a lot of fun. We spiff up our VW bus for the parade, etc.

Plus it's our 6th wedding anniversary... :hearts:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!
Nothing on the 4th other than to wish you US'rs all a great time but July 1st is Canada Day and we will have a family bbq
No plans as of now for the 4th, other than hanging at the barn making sure Bob doesn't go mental with the fireworks. At some point over the long weekend I'm going see "The Public Enemy" with Johnny Depp.
i will be taking care of a 4 month old boxer for 7 days starting tomorrow ohhh lordy with my 2 boys should be posting soon on antics
we dont have anything special planned....i guess continue to teach brian how to play backgammon.....
Nothing special here either. Sarah is coming home on Thurs for a week, and we're picnic-ing with friends on Saturday.

Not sure how Sammie will react to the fireworks sounds. She's not afraid of thunder - thank God! Drez was TERRIFIED of thunder and fireworks. So we'll see . . .
Nothing special - swimming (if summer ever arives :? ), BBQ for two and either sitting out on the balcony to watch the fireworks or joining friends to watch them at the marina.

Also probably giving some of the dogs meds or at least calm caps with dinner :P

Oh my Suzie this will be interesting. :D
We are taking the boys and going to Chattanooga for a couple of days to just get away for a bit. We will check out some of the Civil War history in that area and take the boys on a hike or two. June is a tough month for me as it is the end of our business year--so a few days away will be refreshing!
Well, my 4th of July holiday weekend just started a couple of hours ago at 5PM! My boss decided to be closed on Friday to give us all a long weekend since the actual holiday is on Saturday. I'm all for it! More time to spend with the dogs! :D By the way Ron.........where's our fireworks emoticon?????
