Foz takes on the Vacuum vs Dust Buster

Another post about sheepies following us around doing chores made me post this thread.

Foz is afraid of the vacuum and leaves the room or jumps onto a couch to get away. I assume he thinks the vacuum is big and can get him. However, he has always viewed the Dust Buster as something to bark at madly and try to attack. If Annie's nearby he can't attack it as she will attack him and bark. Then I have two barkers and a loud Dust Buster . I find myself laughing at the whole situation. Sometimes I think I have joined a loony bin!

Does anyone else's sheepies differentiate between these two household cleaning items?

i have a canister style vaccuum...panda runs from the carpet attachment but attacks the floor attachment...go figure.. :?
What about objects all together? This weekend we put a kiddie pool on the porch. The dogs are fine with it and don't care about it. This afternoon the wind blew it to the middle of the yard. Both of them can't go near it now and can't stop barking (through the back door).

Mequpak loves when the vacuum hose attacks him. Maybe it feels good. They all started out scared of it, but I have it on ALL the time so it becomes something they're used to I guess?
all 3 run from my upright vac. They don't even like my swifter that runs on batteries. I just prop thr back door opn and out they go ay even the first sign of me getting the vac.
I COULD NOT VAC FOR 13 YRS WITH MY MISS DAYTONA I TRYED EVER THING SHE JUST HATED IT .. GOOD EXCUSE TO HAVE DIRTY FLOORS
Fastest way to empty the house, turn on the vacuum........just bringing out makes them nervous. If done in a.m. when MO wants to sleep, she'll hide hoping I won't come near her room. If I even come down the hall, she's out the door.

Crumpet was an attacker; brooms, vacuums, mops.......if it moved on the floor it was an immediate game.

A few dogs would let me vacuum them, mainly the Pyrs. Sheepdogs, never.

Maggie was freaked out when I put a new chest-style freezer the garage. She was heading to the car when she saw it and she froze, then crouched down low, then went around to the passenger side of the car and waited there hoping I would let her in from the other side. I had to put her on a leash and reward her with treats for coming back around to the scary freezer side.

After two days of the freezer staying frozen in place, Maggie has gotten used to it.

Yay Maggie! :clappurple:
Violet loves to follow me where ever the vacuum cleaner goes. She loves to lay across the cord and will begrungingly get up off the carpet so that I can vacuum where she had been laying.
Archie loves the vacuum cleaner, he goes bananas, he particularly likes trying to put his tongue up the tool when using the hose! did I mention he was a little nuts?
