Games/Tricks to teach?

I've had my OES since he was a puppy (he's almost 23 months now, birthday coming up ^^) and he's only learned a couple of tricks.

I taught him how to 'sit' by treating him with cheese. Now I almost regret it, now anytime anyone makes a sandwich... he automatically sits down. (Oops!)

For Halloween one of my friends gave us a candy corn stuffed animal that says really cheesy jokes when you squeeze it. Kipper (my puppy) absolutely loves the thing. He sleeps with it. I can take that toy from him, get him to sit, and tell him 'down' to lay down and up to stand up (usually he is too eager to please and jumps for the toy too) and we also play tug of war,
and I was just curious about other small tricks and games to play with my OES, and ways to get him to 'shake' with his paw

Fun! I've been teaching Maggie tricks using this book, which I LOVE. It has really clear instructions and cute pictures.

Maggie has learned paw (give right paw), shake (give left paw), high five (so cute!) and roll-over in both directions. We are working on beg but haven't found the balance point yet. It is hilarious now that when she gets frazzled, she goes through her entire repertoire trying to figure out what I want. This happens alot in her beginner agility class -- she gets confused and she'll offer high fives then throw herself on the ground and roll-over. Everyone laughs out loud.

Good luck!
Thanks!
I actually saw that book at petco the other day, but our two dogs were busy dragging me down the isles they wanted to go to! (rawhide bones, anyone?) We fixed that problem by getting harnesses (harder to pull mom when she's got your chest strapped instead of your collar =P easier on their necks too)

I'll keep that book in mind. ^^ so cute about your dog!!

That's exactly what my dalmo did so I capitalised on it and now I point my forefinger and thumb at him like a gun and yell "bang" and he falls down, rolls over and plays dead! He is the big hit with the kids at our off lead park, they think he is the best.
