When we lived in Longmont (just outside of Boulder CO) there was an artist whose subject matter was Polar Bears. ![]() I'm very fussy about what I put on my walls and will leave them bare until I find exactly what I want. I purchase one limited print, Bear at Piano( http://barbarastone.fineartworld.com/ar ... itByCatID= ), and one original, Listening (not on her web site). I have always wanted to purchase, Landscape for Rebirth and Simpatico. The pictures hang in my office and I wonder everyday why I'm attracted to the subject matter. Today, as I looked at them I realized, put a shaggy gray and white coat on the bear and you got a Sheepdog. Go figure. ![]() |

I love polar bears too--and they have always reminded me of my beloved sheepies in some way! Probably why I like them! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
We were the same way, nothing until we found who we liked, now are walls are full so not looking.
For us it was subject/skill or "feeling" and finally artist. Granted once we found an artist, we were drawn to his or her work. Initially western/southwestern themes (duh) but last few have been western landscapes with heavy emphasis on the sky.......with a bit more "feel" than actual detail correctness. http://www.angusmacpherson.com/pages/1_frameset/1_frameset.html |
