Asia in Agility I

One of our members here, suziptcruize has started a course in Agility at her home. Since she is only about 45 minutes north of me, I decided to enroll Asia in Agility I. We had so much fun and it was so nice to see Asia's confidence grow each week. She'll be starting in Agility II in a few weeks, but already does her thing off leash.

Here are a few pics I'ld like to share with you:

Asia on the "A" Frame..note she is off leash..Ej is the spotter.

China is going to join Agility I, so hopefully between the two will have more action packed pics. Violet can't partcipate because she has HD.

Way to go....Asia and Helen!!! I totally agree about the confidence level!! Heart has been taking classes and it IS amazing how she just flies on the dog walk...(mind you flying for Heart is a slow trot   ) BUT I can just see the excitement when she sees the 'toys'...She loves the table...so easy and she gets a treat every time!!!!

Keep us posted on Asia's progress...sorry you can't come to Sheepiepalooza....Heart is going to do Agility, Rally AND obedience !!!!!
That really does look like fun! I wish I knew where to find that stuff here. We tend to stay "uninformed" until we just bump into the right people. Looks like Asia had fun. ...probably went home bragging about it to China. ;)
Wow! Bravo for you & Asia! :clappurple:

Genny and I start classes this week. I hope she likes it. :crossed:
Its great fun and can be addictive. About the HD - it may not make a difference depending on her issues abd if you can adapt the equipment and jump very low - check with your vet. It could also help her muscle development.

Thank you for the advise. I will check with her Vet. I always feel bad not involving Violet because I think Violet would enjoy most of the equipment.
Isn't it grand! I'm just amazed when it finally clicks in their heads that this is FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!! It is just a big, new, and fun playground.

I hope you can stay on your feet when Asia decides that she doesn't need you and takes off on her own and does all the equipment without commands...over, and over, and over again. It is the funniest and cutest and most challenging part of agility....getting the dog to listen and do as you ask, and asking with all the right body movements.
That is great - and it looks like you all are having a super time :D :D :D
