Dog in Dumpster

My hubby usually does not go to work on Saturday morning, but this morning was an exception. He had some things to do so went there for a couple of hours. As he was getting ready to go, he went looking for the guy who owns the building to let him know that he was leaving. He looked around for him, but couldn't find him so was just going toward the car when he hears the owner whistle and call him over to the dumpster. There inside the dumpster was a small brown dog with short hair on a leash. When the property owner was going to throw something in the dumpster he open the lid and there was the dog. He said he was afraid of dogs since he was a kid and knew that we had three. So he asked hubby if he could get the dog out. So Chuck stuck his hand in for the dog to smell it...he had a good response so Chuck picked him up and got him out. Poor thing was so thirsty. It is 93F here today and the dumpster is metal. Anyway, there was a phn number on the collar and they called the owner. The owner was an elderly worman and said the dog had gotten into a dog fight last night and had taken off on her, she lived only three blocks away. Now when they found this dog, he had a leash on. When the woman finally showed up to get the dog, he said something didn't seem right. He said he sure hopes that she didn't throw the dog in the dumpster. The dog could not have gotten into that dumpster on it's own. The cruelty of people sometimes amazes me. We can only hope for the best on this poor little fellow.

oh no know knowing chuck i am sure right now he is worried about the dog, just too hot and that worries me tell him to check around now
that made mr sick... Please pray for this pup...
He can always call Animal Control to check on them.
The phone number he called should show up on the cell phone or be available on the phone bill fro a land line. Do a reverse search to get the name and address.
How weird and how cruel. At one point, my father would check dumpsters for whatever (now we know that it was the onset of Alzheimer's). One time he found a box with three pet-type rabbits in a dumpster. Dad took the rabbits to the animal welfare place.
It's beyond me how anyone could put an animal in a dumpster.
:( :( I dont think I would of been happy either to hand the dog back to the owner under the circumstances of the explaination she gave.

Hope all will be OK with the dog. :(

Thank goodness the dog was found before the dumpster was emptied, poor baby, makes me so sad & angry to think whoever could of done that to a defenseless doggie.
   poor baby--
UGH people!!! I would try to get the number & report them too
