SheepiePalooza Routes

Anyone driving from the East Coast and planning a two day trip (or who likewise drove from the East Coast last year)? I am thinking of breaking up the trip on the way out (and back) this year and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to stay, or wanted to meet up on the way out? I can go two or three different ways but mostly would be looking for a place in Ohio or Indiana along route 70.

I am trying to be proactive and plan a stop - otherwise I will end up sleeping in the car at the rest stop like i do when I go to florida :?

Are you bringing your dog/s with you?
At least one, maybe two depending on how he is feeling.
We are just south of your route in Cincinnati.
Here are some pet friendly hotels in Dayton which is about 1 hour north of us.

We plan to leave Cincinnati on Friday morning. We travel west as far as Evansville,IN on a regular basis and know all the rest stops, etc. But this is the first time we will be traveling with our two dogs.
Let me know if you will be arriving in our general area on Thursday and maybe we can plan something.
When we were coming back from NY we went through Harrisburg, and on 90 most of the way. Of course, you will need to sag south a bit..... :D

Todd was on a roll (and grumpy) so we road tripped the whole way back. I don't recommend it  . But we did get back in the afternoon for me to pack up and leave again by 7am the next day to head out for St Louis. I felt like I'd lived in the car.
I don't know if you want to go as far south as Nashville--but you are welcome here. I am not great with geography but we have plenty of room for you and the dogs.
Gosh, Sheepiezone, I should've posted this question myself last week. I'd have bummed a place to stay from you.

I decided to break up my trip into two days this year too, Kerry. We're making a stop at the 1/2 way point on Thursday and again on Sunday night. I made a reservation for us in Nashville this year at a LaQuinta. No limit on size or number of dogs! :D
The LaQuinta is nice--Nashville is a good halfway point for you. Maybe we can get it together and plan ahead next time. :D
That'd be great, Sheeiezone! I'll PM you my info, maybe we can meet for dinner while we're there. :D
Tammy--that would be great! I will PM you my info!
Thanks Doggy girl - I am straying at the Laquinta in Tipp City (just above Dayton I think) on Thursday. I doubt if I will be up for anyhting after all that driving. What time do you plan on leaving on Friday morning?

On the way back, does anybody have hotel recommendations in like Youngstown Ohio area - or Erie PA? I am not sure if I want to go back that way or through southern PA yet.....

Dont' know yet. I have to run Mapquest and see exactly where we are going. I'll let you know.
