sad week in our town this week

It is so sad this week it has been very hard. First we had a suicide, then a eldery lady found in her home not seen for 3 weeks, then a drug bust in town (which was good) But my daughters boyfriend rented a room there and may be facing 2 years,(at this moment she is at work crying and of course does not want to lesson to me) and then a double murder suicide. My town only has 3800 people and has been a hard time for everyone. You here of one thing then hit with another over and over... just had to say something but on a good note my niece had a healthy baby boy with week.

it has been a sad week for you! I'm so sorry. I hope your daughters' boyfriend can extricate himself from any implications. What a horrible thing to have happen!!!!

Living in a big city like Atlanta, its easy to sort of lose yourself in all the people who live here. I lack the intimacy here that you have with your close knit community. But it all that anonymity came tumbling down this week for us as well as sadness descended on our dog park. First, the loveliest lady you could want to meet succumbed to cancer. And this when we all thought her in remission and it seemed she had really kicked it. Through all her treatments, she was always so positive, so generous with her time, and at the dog park whenever she could manage it. She's really missed.

Then we had a long time Black Lab pass away of old age. Jet was our "Senior Statesmen" of the park. You could count on seeing him every evening, walking with his owners. Such a pleasant, good natured dog, with the softest coat you ever felt. He died on his birthday; we were going to have a party in the park for him.

And lastly we learned that a much loved MinPin from our park was hit by a car and killed. The owner was this HUGE irish guy; very masculine sort of fellow. And his MinPin Kismet was literally the guys' heart and soul.

Enough tragedy that you could choke on it. Lets you and I raise a glass of something yummy, and toast to a better week ahead!
I am so sorry to hear of all the sad things that have happened in your town this week. They say they come in threes, but sometimes just don't stop at that, they go on and on. I hope you have a better week this one coming.

Congrats on the new grandnephew. Babies have a way of taking our minds off the sadness around us. :D
Wow, what a long week. :(
I think I find it hard because as a hairstylist that is all everyone is talking about of course...makes for a long day. Then in evenings my daughter crying, can get ahold of her boyfriend. We did find out he is in remand in Edmonton until the 21st. He could not get bail because of previos teenage record. And all the renters atthis home are being charged with 7 things and the quy they were after was not home and yet to find. Only reason they did the raid they thought he was home. And the fellow only moved in 5 days earlier.
oh so sorry!
Here in NY we are dealing with a 17 yr old male that took a gun to school and killed himself in the bathroom. No reason why. Good kid and good student. That scares me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Special thoughts your way. Tough week for you--things will look up for sure!
