a pain in the ribs (wk 30), help with names.

i personally would just like some sleep!!!

i can't sit comfortably theres someone sticking in my ribs i've had words but hes not listerning!!!

at nearly 30 weeks i'm now counting down the days, making a list of things to do and ways to make this one come at 38 weeks rather than 41 like isaac did. an 8lb + baby sound a lots better than a 9lb + like isaac was

i have a major pain in my back near my spine and i either have to lay down or stand up grrrrrrrrrr (have had words about this to also being ignored)

i've got another apointment next week but as i was measuring 30 weeks at 28 wks a smaller baby is not looking likely. hopefully i won't be measuring 46 wks at 41 wks like i did with isaac.

but get this i've only put on 6 lbs on top of my starting weight no idea how that happened if it not claimed i eat it. lol

i'm not short bodied either and at 5ft 10/11 not short either. so if this baby doesn't start hang out at the front i'm going to be immobile by the time he born.

we still have not picked a name i think were gonig with alexander but my hubby doesn't want to use robert as a middle name after my dad ( we gave isaac his dads name as his middle name) as my brother is also called robert, as is my grandfather. any sugestions all the traditional names family members have and we don't want to use as they will think we are naming him after them.

sorry for the rant my hubby is only so sympathetic.

poor einy is all matty and the groomer can't get him in till next week and he knows i can't get down to brush him so hes playing up eating the brush etc. he was all loverly up untill alst week when the back pain started. and it seems he doing all he can to get a matty as possible.

Me too!!!
One of my daughters was 12 lbs 3 oz and 23 3/4 inches long!!!
Size 1 foot. No baby clothes for me.
I could not sleep either. AND she was born August 23 1966. One of our hottest summers. My feet were so big.
I did wind up in the hospital with very high blood pressure.
Glad to have had that over!! they had to induce labor.

Oh names!! I love Alex. How about Andrew. Nice sound
i had a terrible birth with isaac he was 9lb 7 and 23 and abit inches the skinnyist longest baby you ever saw. had preelampsia, induction, forceps delivery etc

hoping to miss the epidural this time ( told me i needed it last time) so i can move around the room was strapped to the bed last time with cables and tubes.

the care over here is so different. i think i'm finally calm enough over isaacs birth to manage this one how i want too.

can't us andrew hubby cousin called that, thats the problem all the names we like allready in use. it stressing me out.

Wow...you people have big babies! Mine was 5 pounds 14 ounces and 18.5 inches! She'd look like a dwarf next to all your babies!

Zoe--so sorry you're in such discomfort. At least there's an end to it (at some point!)...what about the name Tyler? or Zachary?
I love these sort of threads. 8)

Sorry for the discomfort. I really feel for you, and like barney ...normally have small babies, so I just can't imagine one that big. At 8 and 9 lbs, I always picture that baby being in my belly and there's no way it would fit!!! So I can't imagine the pain you're in!!

I hope this one comes sooner, and I really like the name you already have, so I have no suggestions.
I really like Robert since it has such a family connection on your side. Is that the problem, it's YOUR family? Being a bit possessive isn't he? How about Rob? Hmm, maybe not. I thought maybe Robin or Robinson.....but that's not going to fly  Still it's the middle name for heaven's sake, not the call name.......how often will he be called Robert?

Would your maiden name work as a middle name? I think it's time your side of the family has representation here. Can your mother's name be gender modified?

There are some great Scottish names.........and probably English as well. Then again Alexander the Great's father was Philip.................
Alexander the Great's father was Philip................. Or Paul
Thats sounds nice.

If it were me I would go out on a limb. Find a very different name.
Not a family.
The only one of mine is after my mom. Veronica. She loves it.
my maiden name is HELLEN of all thing so as you see i can't use that.

my mums maiden name is the same as my married name but her first name is carol so may be charles ( not sure bout that one )

i might pull the you picked the last one this ones mine trick. tho hubby argument apart from the fact that there no need for there to be 4 people called robert is that his intials with spell ART!!

but on a good note the groomer called with a cancellation so einy being shaved tomorrow first thing so he'll be in the bed with me tomorrow night pleading hypothermia.

so at least i will have a snuggley dog

zoe and einy
ART doesn't sound bad ...just don't decide to add Fred as a first name to it !! :D

If your husband doesn't like Robert what about Bobby ??

Julie x
Sorry you are in so much discomfort. I hope he comes as early as is safe for him to do so.

As for the name, I'd go with Robert, too, if you already used hubby's dad's name for the first born. It's only fair to use your dad's name this time. I mean, seriously, how many times do you use the middle name? Only on the rare occassion he gets in trouble and you have to call him down.
Best wishes it gets better soon...just keep thinking how special this little person will be in your life...I like the name Ryan as a middle name...with the first name being so long a short middle name would make it easier on him...my Jennifer complained when she was learning to write her name...said she had to learn and write too many letter and her friend Amy only had 3 letters to learn  I really miss those days...now my Jennifer is 32 and a mother worrying about her baby...Zoe will appreciate her name when learning to write! :)
or get really annoyed later when people shorten it with out asking to ZO!!!!!

i mean it short enough as it is, or add extra letter like Y and I to it

i've had 27 years of zoe as my name and i love it but it really gets me when people shorten my already little name.

zoe and einy (MIA mum left me at the groomers)
hmmm, today is St. George day, how about Alexander George?

No, Hellen won't work  and Carol could be Carl.......but I doubt they'd get the connection.

Take my brother's middle name.......Xenophon. That will raise a few eyebrows
