I always washed my sheets on cold. I have just found out that thats not good. Leaves tons of germs. So now do I use HOT????
How do you wash?

I follow the directions given. I wash on cold. All of our high tc sheets say cold.
I have asthma and allergies and follow the guidelines for that. I always wash sheets in hot with chlorine bleach - I only use white sheets or light colored sheets though. I have very high thread count sheets and they wash up beautifully.
I guess I'm not that concerned about germs anymore. OK, utensils, glasses, counters that might come in contact with food, bathrooms, but beyond that, clean is enough, sanitized isn't high on my list anymore. If colds run through house, linens might get a hot water wash or if possible, a splash of Chlorox.
I have no idea. I don't think I've ever changed the setting on my washer  I don't know what to do, so I just throw it all in and hope it comes out okay!
I wash sheets at 60 degrees, because Ru gets them really dirty. I wash clothes at 30, sometimes 40 if muddy.
I usually do sheets on hot w/clorox.
Hot.
I can't see how it makes a difference since I have dogs on them as soon as I get them on the bed.
Ditto Kerry - hot, bleach, every week, specifically for allergies/asthma. High thread count doesn't seem to suffer a bit. :)
HOT
I guess HOT it is then........

Me too. Hot water and bleach, high thread count sheets only too. It freaks me out not to wash them that way........I also double pillowcase our pillows. Thinking about all the face and hair oils, drool, whatever, getting onto my pillow grosses me out as well........ yep, I'm a freak!

Hot, and adding eucalyptus helps with allergies.
