Not again

So for the second time this year we have been robbed

A few weeks ago our garden shed was broken into and Bobs mountain bike and our lawn mower were taken. Both now replaced with new ones!

Last night I took George for his usual walk and parked the car up and let him out.

I was away for about an hour and when we got back I opened the car and put him in the back. He went CRAZY. He was sniffing the car and circling round and round

The other dog I walk with also went mad and ran round and round the outside of the car.

Anyway to cut a long story, someone had been in the car and took the stereo and Bobs Oakley sunglasses. They left his newer Ray Banson the seat after taking them out of the glove box. (obviously not in fashion currently  )

It looks as though as I have put the keys in my pocket I have reopened the car. As it doesn't beep I haven't noticed

The worst of it is the Police said because I do the same walk every night at the same time I may have been watched, and that freaks me out a bit.

I really hope that bad luck doesn't come in 3's or I have something else to happen. (unless I can count the shed twice as they came back the next day to take the mower??)

heres hoping this is the end.

Oh no! That is horrible. At least it's not your house, or anything too valuable. I hate the thought you have been watched. Said it before, I'll say it again, move daaaan saaaaaf! It's much nicer :P
that is horrible! my son left his back door open the other night and someone came in the kitchen and stole wallets and a phone. The thing is daughter in law and baby were dozing on the sofa so the burglar must have seen them!!

Makes me laugh when you say that as I think you think of the North as industrial and an awful place to live!! There are no cloth caps and whippets these days you know

On the whole I love it here. The countryside is beautiful and we have some of the best beaches in the UK. On the whole the people are lovely too, its just, as with everywhere, the minority spoil it for the rest of us!
Poor you Vicki. You're right - the fact that you may have been watched is the creepiest bit. Those central locking keys can be dangerous at times. I had the opposite with my old car. If the doors were unlocked without a key in the lock the doors would lock themselves after 15mins. Nice to know but not so good when I left the car to be cleaned and they left the keys laying on the front seat. After 15 mins the doors locked with the keys inside. My house key was on the keyring so I couldn't even get home and get the spare!
Oh that sounds bad! I always thought if you have a dog nobody would burgle you?? Maybe it would be good to change to daily walking routines?

We got burgled only once in 12 years, that was the first week we lived in UK, we left many things in the garden and someone just jumped over the fence when we heard noises and opened the back door.

Since then we never had any problems, it even happend that I left my housedoor key in the door and drove off to work. It tooked around 1 1/2 hours until I realised and came back. The key was still on the door, easy visible! I also had several times my back door open while beeing asleep or very often my car door. Maybe I was just lucky!???? 8O :?: Or does it change with the area someone lives??
That is bad news...
I say count the burglary in the shed as 2!
bugger

Get some small cheap security cameras setup, it's probably the same people waiting on replacement items through the insurance.

Get some Geese! - seriously they'll make a racket and can be vicious!

No It wasn't the same people as it was 3 miles apart, so presumably we have just been unlucky.

Geese are a great idea but sadly I am terrified of birds
And geese are terribly messy. Poops almost as big as sheepies.

I'm so sorry you were gotten again.
