How 2 Indentify this Eyelid Cyst

Mulligan has had this cycst since we've had him, and the size has grown ever so slowly and looks like it might be time to have it removed.

The first one is pretty much how it looks all the time. In the second pic, the eyelid is being pulled back and up a bit by Joan's hand.

Ron if it is at all rubbing on the eyeball or irritating him then have it removed. How old is Mulligan now?

If not annoying him or causing any redness on the eye ball I would just leave it alone. Only removing it if it does get bigger or starts to cause irritation with the whites of his eye looking redish from it rubbing on the eye ball or he has a constant discharge from his eye due to irritation.

Looking at that photo and the whites of his eyes they dont look irritated at all, nice whites with no redness there.

Kelsey has one in the same place for 4 years, did not get any bigger, was not annoying her so we just left it alone. :D

Patch also had the exact same cyst on her eye - it never seemed to bother her and grew at a very slow pace like Mulligan's - she had it removed when anesthetized for a teeth cleaning. It never returned.
Duncan has had one too. Had one for about 2 years, then it fell off. It is back again. Not irritating the eye so we were told to just leave it alone by our vet unless it bothered him.
I had to have one removed on my Standard Poodle in her last year as it was rubbing on her eye and making it tear terribly. If it is rubbing I would have it taken off. It seemed to be a very easy surgery for her and caused no problem afterwards.
Mulligan is 6, and it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. Bothers me!

:? Yeah, same thing happend with my Aurora
when she was around eight years old.

It didn't seem to bother her at all, only me.
I had it removed before it got to big
and the vet told me there was no garanti that it could pop up again.
However it did not come back - she got almost elleven years old.
