How much to feed....

Ok everyone...Samantha is a year old and this is what I feed her 2x daily: 2 cups dry food (nutro lamb and rice) and 1/2 can of Reward (only to stop her scattering the kibble everywhere and it hasn't work :( ). I have started giving 1/2 cup more in the morning as she is more interested in eating then. She is usually a good eater...I am wondering if this is enough.
Thanks!

I use Eukanuba, the amount info is usually on the bag. I feed My OES 18 month old male 8 cups of adult maintance per day. We walk about 1 + miles per day 2 times. I also give him a little yogurt or cottage cheese 1 or 2 times per week, a couple generous tablespoons. Along with occasional vegetables and fruit (not grapes). Every now and then he gets a small chicken breast or hamburger patty about once every week or two. The best thing to do is feed them according to the instructions and the exercise routine etc. I always lean to feeding on the heavy side as a young dog and watch their weight and body fat. As they get older watch body fat and be sure to exercise at an appropriate level to their health and your vet reccomendations. I also have a theory I buy the most expensive stuff I can find that is well written about.
Pooh gets 2 1/4 cups of Nutro Puppy Large Breed in the AM and again in the PM...lately he has not been eating it all when we put it down. He's teething again.
Lennon weights 60 or 70 pounds, 2 years old and eats 4/6 cups in two seatings. Sofa weights about 50 pounds and eats 4 or 5 cups a day. They eat in the morning and afternoon/night, Purina One dry food. They also can eat 2 scambled eggs every other day.

Looks what you are feeding Samantha is enough, but you may try feeeding her one more cup one she's done, just to see if she's still hungry. They usually don't overeat. Have you checked her how apparent are her ribs? That's usually a very good indicator on how well fed they are. They should not be evident, but to too covered with skin/fat, either... Most dog food bags have pictures to show how a well fed dog should look like.
Thanks for the replies. Sam is a year old and weighs 70 lbs. She gets plenty of exercise, atleast 1 mile walk a day (usually 2 walks if dh is in town) and I have playtime with her in the afternoon. We will stop the later walk as the weather gets warmer. Or just shorten the walk. I guess I am doing well in the feeding department.
