If dogs could talk

I sure wish Sophie could talk. While I was at work today, poor sophie injured her leg. A deep puncture wound. THe vet opened it up to clean it and then washed it and showed me what I need to do at home to clean it. I sure wish she could tell me what happened. My daughter was home taking a bath when she heard her yelp. We dont know how she hurt herself. We just know that when my daughter came out all the cushions were off the sofa and the vent cover was off the vent. I sure wish she could talk since the incident she wont come out of her crate. :(

poor Sophie.....hope she heals well :(
Poor Sophie. :(

Sounds like she got more than she bargained for, whatever it was she was doing.
Poor baby!
How do they do these things? :cow:
Hope she feels better real soon.
Ouch :( Poor girl

Get well soon Sophie!
Thank you for all the get well wishes. She slept well through the night, must be the pain meds the vet gave. This morning she was trying her hardest to stand and wiggle that bum but she still wont come out of her crate except to go outside. I already miss her bounciness. I havent seen her this still before, shes always on the move jumping somewhere or attacking some unsuspecting object.
Oh my it seems she got a bit of a scare doesnt it.
Hopefully as soon as the meds wear off and the leg starts to feel better she'll be back to her usual self. :crossed:
Poor Sophie!!! :( Hope she gets better soon!!
Poor Sophie...hope she heals quickly and is back to her bouncy sheepie self soon.
Aw, poor Sophie! Hope she's back to her bouncy self real soon.
Poor girl. Whatever she did gave her a fright. I'm sure once she's feeling better, she'll be back to her normal bouncy self. Hope it's soon! :ghug:
Screw, sheet metal point, ???? Poor girl "scared herself."

I'm not sure I'd want to hear what they have to say. Yesterday Jack went ballistic when I tried to pick up his empty food dish a bit too early.......growling, picking up his dish and carrying it around. I'm sure I would have gotten an ear full of nonsense. Actually, I guess I did.... :)
That happened to one of my other dogs once. He caught his nail in the vent, pulled it and his back leg stepped into the vent hole. There was sharp sheet metal in there he caught his leg on. I screwed down all vents after that and kept nails shorter.
It's coming the season where Jack lays down on top of the floor vents, gets his tags caught and ends up pulling the vent up with his collar. Then he has to be careful about stepping into the hole. Haven't been able to screw the vents in due to carpeting, so every once in awhile Jacks sports a strange looking object from his collar.
