How much do Sheepies eat?

Chloe is three years old, and her previous owner had her on Nutro and I've continued it. She's been with us a week now, and becoming more at home and animated. Chloe is eating about 2-3 cups daily, but getting small treats of fruits/cookies occasionally. I leave her food out all day, but she doesn't snack. Her previous owner mixed alittle moist food with the Nutro morning and evening feeding, which I also do. I'm getting her weighed today at the vet checkup. I just want to make certain she is eating enough! I read that some mix food with other things, cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, cheese, etc. Is that okay too? Should I mix it up Gradually with other foods for variety? Thanks for the help!!

Chewie has been on Nutro (we just switched, I rotate foods) and he is a similar age; although as an active, intact male he probably needs more calories daily than Chloe. Chewie is eating 4 cups per day, but not that long ago I was not getting him to eat that much. He was eating about 3 cups.

A good idea to have her weighed. I am always weighing mine, there is a dog scale at the place I have my classes. It just reinforces what I am seeing visually and feeling when I run my hands over them. periodic weights are good for seeing trends too. A slow gradual weight loss (or gain!) can go undetected unless you weigh them and compare to previous numbers.

Chloe is still new to your house, so I wouldn't worry too much about her eating less than normal. Lots of dogs need time to totally settle. They may show no signs of stress, but it still can be there, reflected in how they eat and drink. They usually eat less and drink more for awhile.

The stuff you mentioned is all good stuff to add. Of course that can backfire if you find she has allergies to something. Not likely, but possible. It sounds like you are on track - I wouldn't change anything at this point. :D
Barney is an inactive sheepie, so he doesn't require the extra calories that Super-Chewie does...he gets about 2 cups a day, and he's too hefty right now. So I think it can depend on the activity level and the metabolic rate of the dog too. (He eats Nutro too)
Yeah, Jack at 115 lbs and MO at 62 lbs eat almost the same amount.....just under 2 cups per day. MO is more active thus needs more calories.....usually. If I'm having a quiet day she'll sleep near me. If I'm up or hubby home she go-go-go. On her sleepy days she gets less for dinner, wonder if she's noticed? Yeah, cookies for them thru the day, just small portions.
Violet is 6 yrs old and eats one cup of food in the morning and one cup of food at night. Yes, she also snacks during the day. (she also finishes what Asia leaves behind but we'll keep that our secret.)
thanks everyone. I'm so relieved that she's about right. And Chloe is drinking much more than eating. Poor sweetie. She isn't very active right now, sleeping mostly, although she will tolerate  our walks. She seems to like car rides more than any physical exertion. But, then again, there is actual exercise in getting me to go to the garage several times a day so she can look longingly at the car
Tonks and Luna are younger than your Chloe, and are very active. They each get 3 cups of dry food a day, plus a can of wet food. And I buy very healthy treats; so they get quite a few of those too; especially if we are doing training.

And my girls drink ALOT of water. I don't know if thats unusual.
It really depends on the food. But, when we were feeding kibble morgna only ate 3 cups of Canidae a day. He is 115 lbs. Marley used to eat only 1.5 cups of Orijens and she is much more active.
