You asked! story of Lily and Bear

I had to keep this in for so long. In Janurary I found this person who had to rehome her 2 OES. I contacted her and we we off to adopt.
Due to her divorce she had to give up these "kids" She is working 2 jobs now. Not fair to leave them alone so much. I told her we would take both. That was her only thing "keeping them together" She is on the west coast. I am on east.
Lily was her first. She got her as a 12 week old pup -- Lily is 3 1/2 now.
Her husband had got Bear at 4 months, the first owner could not keep him.
He is now 3.2 yrs old. So these 2 have benn very close. They are both fixed, micro chipped. VERY good care records. Tons of toys ect.
I have received 2 huge boxes of their things. A blow dryer and Dremel ect , so many things I could not list. In their paper work there was ALL info on breeder, mom and dad ect. I plan on a research of this.

I cannot tell you how easy it has been for them to meld into our home.
Yes we had a few "accidents" but no biggie. Snowy loves them. They play outside all the time.

I stayed up all night the first night because Bear would not come into the house. I must have dosed but heard a noise and saw this face look around the the entrance. So I watched. Later he layed in the hallway. Again I dosed and found both babies at my feet. SLEEPING. From then on they have been perfect. They are good eaters. Their owner changed their food to our brand so no big change. They loved it.

We have their papers that they were schooled in many different things.
Lily had a personal trainer to get her in line. She is Ok with us.
As I post this they (all 3 are sleeping again) time change I guess.

They were groomed Tuesday to puppy coat. GREAT looking.

They were to come here Friday but when she got them to airport pet control said it was to cold for them here to fly. But the temps went up next day.
They left the west coast 11.45 AM and we got them here at 1:01 Am

Long time for them. Yes they were sadated. It had worn off.

Hope this answers your questions.
We also got papers yesterday of transferm of ownership.
So all is good.
We love them so much already.

Brand new crates came with them plus beds.

What a lovely story and how wonderful that you could take both and keep them together! Good for you! :D
You are lucky to get such BEAUTIFUL dogs.

I kinda feel bad about the person who had to give them up though. I hope you send some pictures her way so she knows they are doing ok.
I called her at 1:30 AM to tell her they were with us, next I had taken a bunch of pics and sent them to her, again I called to tell her all was well. Gave her our website that had been updated with them. So she has seen everything. I plan on keeping pics going her way until she says no.
She did a huge favor for us with theses kids. As long as she wants I will email her.
A lovely story with a happy ending!

I guess dogs adjust to things quickly, it probably takes longer for humans to adjust to change.

Can't wait for more stories and pictures of the 3 of them together.
Welcome to the three day honeymoon!!!

After they're settled in, that's when their true personalities will start to shine.

Yay!
So great Deanna. I am very happy for you and hubby...and no housebreaking. They are at the age where they are grown ups...at least as grown up as an OES can be. :D
That's a great story and I am very happy for you all! :yay:
