you just will not believe what Blue did

He got on our roof 4 times  First last nite, I was peeling potato looking out the window. Blue out side came running off the patio up to balcony to the trim of the roof 4 feet "usually" and this part sloops up to or regular roof. With all the snow we had yesterday 2 feet and dogs running in hyper mode I do not think he knew what he had done. Sooo he got yelled at and hugged at the same time. Then I booby trapped that corner went back into the house and yes he is smarter then me and was up there again enjoying the view. So again out I went. It worked until 3AM during potty break. So 9AM I am out there AGAIN and WON untill 3PM I heard feet stomping around up there, me thinking really BIG Bird or BLUE, then my son got there and worked on the area again ladders woord crates anything to get him not to jump. Then we go into the house, Blue outside rooting around looking over his shoulder at the door and HE really was trying to find a way up and so far he lost hopefullly for good.

Just like a little boy.......something new and exciting. New territory without leaving the yard. Then again, a sheepdog would make a nice roof ornament.
no picture??????
Sorry but, that is kinda cute and funny!
You MUST get pictures!
My husband thought it was funny, myself thinking of all the snow and him sliding off. He is still trying to find a spot to get up again so far no luck. But I am trying to get a pic of him doing it. But of course he hears my, he does not want to get caught untill after he gets up. I do want to know how many people seen him on the roof when they drove by.
For a few years a pair of beagles would climb onto their roof and watch the city's rose society tend the garden across the street from their house. Oh the racket they'd put up initially, they were so excited to have people to bark at. Eventually they'd either lay down and watch or go find shade.
I know it was probably scary, but it sounds so funny to have a dog obsessed with getting on the roof! I can't even imagine Barney being able to find a way onto our bed, let alone the roof...
I agree it is so funny!!! wish you had pics LOL
OMG!!! My heart did flip flops just reading your post. I can't even imagine what you must have thought the first time..Yikes!!Makes for a very funny story however. Just like a kid...for sure, you never know what troubles they'll find themselves getting into.

its going where they are not supposed to, bless, scary though.
Summer isnt allowed upstairs, but sometimes we accidentally leave the baby gate open they have a great time chasing round the bedrooms!
