We took Portage and (evil) Hudson for a walk to a nearby provincial park today. Our usual path takes about 40 minutes, and that's plenty for our eleven year old Portage.

He was zonked.

But Hudson (the birthday boy) was still full of evilbeans. So Portage and I rested in the truck while daddy and Hudson went again. They were back in twenty five minutes so I know that there was some running involved.

Hudson is unconscious. He's snuggled with his equally tired daddy on the bed. Portage is sprawled out on the big chair in the living room while I do some school work on my laptop (as you can tell by my posting here, I'm procrastinating...) All is quiet in my house.

I cannot tell you how long it has been since I've been able to enjoy a little peace and quiet. How wonderful.

There is nothing that compares to tired puppies!
Aaaah how lovely when everyone is tired out! It takes so much to tire out Ru & Greg, and so very little to tire me out. Getting the balance right and everyone having fun is difficult at our house. I usually cycle to keep up with their running. Sounds like you had it sorted with staying in the truck Smile

I love the phrase "evilbeans", that sums it up nicely! I'm hoping to burn off some of Ru's evilbeans today.
Heheheheh - I have just started with this forum - primarily due to being the owner of a satanic puppy myself - Baxter the possessed one is 7 mths old and I just love it when he gets back from his walk and completely zonks out - usually on my lap while I try to get some peace and quiet. It's a shame you can't walk 'em 4 or 5 times a day really !!! But I have really enjoyed the Hudson updates Laughing
