Mr personality!

Whew...found out today that little Finnie(not so little anymore)
does not do steps!
We live in a single story house!
He met many people as they were going up and down steps
and of course they all loved him!
Nope, Finnie wasn't budging!
This big furball would not MOVE!!!!!!!

Finally, I got him to go up....
Four stories of steps later, we found an elevator!
(puppies=excercise)
So, we worked on steps on our walk and he did better
on the return back to the car!
Gotta love em!

Ha I remember that. Edgar didn't do steps either. Living in Phoenix at the time everything was flat. When we took puppy classes they made the pups climb up the kid play area. Next time he had to use steps was when we were at a hotel. That was fun. Now we have a two story house and he barrels up and down like a crazy dog.
Archie hates our stairs for some reason, he'll go up the first 4 or so then stop and go no further, which makes it difficult on the odd occasion I need to get him to the bathroom to clean up a mucky bum!
It has taken 2 years for Matisse to learn stairs, so Mr. Finn has a leg up on him....we also live in a ranch style house and he rarely would have to do stairs.
Entice Matisse with a cookie to get into the SUV, now that's a totally different story all together!

Hugs to Finn! :hearts: He got so big!! :D
We have an upstairs, but since the kids are moved out, we rarely need to go up. I have always kept it gated, the kids had to step over their whole life....

So, mine don't do steps at home either. Our house entry is flat too, so no steps even to get in the house.

You know it's bad when your basset hound jumps into the Element better than your sheepdog!!
Call it dumb luck but we were really fortunate with Bailee. He actually went up and down stairs within 2 or 3 hours of bringing him home and he was only 8 weeks old at the time. He leaps up them now, even when they are covered with ice or snow. The only thing I can figure out about Bailee is that I will probably never be able to figure him out.
We trained all of our dogs the easy way - let the older dogs do the training. The pups would always go with the big guys, so it wasn't hard. Just put a pillow on the wall across from the bottom of the stairs - it helped.
Who does stairs when you should have an elevator???
I think I have decided today that my little darling boy is
just spoiled darn rotten!
Whew ....time to work for it baby!
Back to classes!!!!!!!!!
