What's your OES' favorite toy?

I'm curious to know what your babies enjoy the most, so maybe I will get it.

Today I got a different shape kong than what I have (toilet paper roll shape), but i haven't tested it yet!

Yuki's favorite toy BY FAR is a rattle mouse designed for cats. ...or at least I got it in the cat section. It unfortunately is also my other dog's favorite. They both seem to prefer things that rattle over squeak. :)

how about yours? :D

When our sheepie was 2 months we found a toy
which is a pillow shaped like a bone with a sheepskin type cover.
It is light weight, he loves to carry it around. He hugs it, and sometimes
uses it as a pillow !!!

He adores any squeaky toy and his favorites are a lobster, and
a lamb.

But by far the number 1 toy is trotting off with our shoe !!!!!!!!!!!
Sadly, it is anything that belongs to the person who she thinks that is ignoring her.....if my son is home, she will take either some soccer shinguard or cleat or a beanie baby (or the equivilent) outside. If I am home and "organizing" something, she will take that. Or a shoe.....she hasn't destroyed any, she just knows that if she has something of yours, there will be a wonderful game of chase! So smart!
Other than that, tennis balls or a mini soccer ball will keep her happy. She also has a couple of dog stuffed toys, she carries them in her mouth constantly.
Yuki is so cute!
Hi,

For years Blue loved his squeeky toys and would happily carry them in his mouth or roll onto his back and take his front paws and place the toy on his belly. Much like a cat...maybe since he lives with four cats

Merlin never had much of an interest in any toys or balls but would walk over to Blue and as Merlin is alpha, Blue would immediately drop them. Poor Blue would then stress over it, so unfortunately I've had to take the squeeky toys away as they are a definate trigger for problems with all three dogs.

Panda loves balls just as much as Blue does, but again I only take them out seperately for ball throwing now, and never leave them lying around. Since Panda and Blue both want them they are also triggers. As I give each dog one on one time ( daily walks seperately) I try to take along a favorite item with me. No wonder my typing lately is so bad..as I'm exhausted! ha ha

Ah the joys of having three dogs in the household!

Finally a solution!! Stuffed animals! Which Merlin and Blue love playing tug a war with, although it got rather expensive with me needing to buy a new one every week. I solved it by going to second hand shops and buying bags full for a few dollars (making sure there were no removable buttons) and giving them a wash in the machine. They never last long enough for them to become favorites. :D Panda just likes curling up to them so I always make sure there is enough of them for them all to enjoy.

The one thing Merlin does seem to have an interest is in water bottles. Those he will pick up and walk around with much like a fat cigar sticking out of his mouth. Sometimes I put a treat in there and he can spend hours rolling it around but again have to put him in a seperate room as any kind of food is a trigger in my house with the three dogs.

Sorry this post ended up being so lengthy..but I'm so happy to have found a solution to keep the dogs occupied while I'm not at home. When the weather is good they can be in or out, but for the past couple months they are in the house Believe it or not, I don't crate any of the three when I'm at work and have not yet found any damage other that remnants of the stuffed animals.

Then there's the four cats whom also have a series of toys but as they are small I have to put the cats in a room for some playtime so the dogs don't destroy the catnip mice or small balls which could be dangerous. Again...no wonder I'm so exhausted! I get up so early in the morning for feeding times, then a bit of play before I head to work, race home at lunch to check up on them, then immediately apon returning home I start the first of the three walks. Toys are a bit of a lifeline!!

Norman has two favorites, a Beanie Baby Pony and a very large Mike Wazowski (from Monsters Inc.). He used to have a large peanut M&M that was a prize at a fair but Carl destroyed that his first week home.
Also, Norman used to have toys forever. He picked their eyes off but didn't do any real damage to them. Carl, on the other hand, just destroys toys in minutes. Does anyone else have 2 different styles of dogs like this?
Roger like those big ropes that tie at the end, or oversize tennis balls. He has no interest in a frisbee.
When we adopted Bentley, a stuffed soccer ball with a rope out each end came with him. It is his favorite toy and also serves as a comfort object. I had never seen a dog knead like a cat, but Bentley does while chewing on his soccer ball. It is also his favorite toy to fetch in the house.

Do you have any recent pics? I feel like we're missing out since you have so many helpful friendly suggestions/advice, but not enough pics!!! :D
We have a Kong ball, she will get that and drop it on the floor to watch it bounce, or get our attention. She also like to watch it bounce down the stairs, gets it, back at the top and watch it bounce down again.

If I play fetch her I have to use a rope toy, she likes to play keep away and I need to be able to grab the end. I play tug of war, only because she is not an aggressive type, and I always make sure I win.

When it comes to alone time, she loves the Stuff a Kong, or the Holey treat football....stuff them full and she will spend as long as it takes getting the stuff out. Best thing we ever bought.

Her all time favorite activity tho is playing with other dogs at the off leash park.
Squeeky toys bar none. The day we got Pooh we gave him a blue plush squeeky bear whom we named "furby" since that was pooh's adopted name. He won't go to sleep at night without it.

We got him a squeeky chicken a few months ago, but I am sorry to have to let that go now......

Hello:

Blue Star just loves her giant tennis ball, a squeeky furry duck and a plush frisbee. These are her favorites other than someone's shoe, slipper or a cat toy. She is not partial to the nylabones or hard rubber toys. She is 4 mos. old now. :)

May :D
what a beautiful scenic avatar BSM!
Dancer and Sky love stuffed animals and I try to restock as often as I can, but they do destroy them pretty quickly sometimes.
Their latest toy from xmas is a plastic squeaky football with rubber things all over it poking out, so they can't (or at least haven't yet) gotten their teeth right to it and broken it. They will each hold one in their mouth and squeak at each other, it's almost like they need to outdo each other, too cute.
jsmarcus, I didn't see your pic the first time I read this thread. hmm... either I read too fast (before it could upload) or had too many windows open!!!

I'm sure I could make a few halloween costumes out of the # of toys thrown away after a week and/or month by big dog owners. hahaha
well mickey has this little dinosaur coming out of an egg that squeaks and he loves to carry it around the house biting on it to make is squeak it is very cute. Also I have gotten these ball thingys made of almost plastic material and he can pull and chew on it and they sting things get longer sounds confussing I know but its hard to explain, anyways all my dogs love those, also he LOVES the ropes to play tug o war w/ jagger.
hey Jo this was an excellant thread by the way :D
Chelsea, like so many others, loves her squeaky/soft toys. Ever since the first one was brought home, Randall the Ram, she has been partial to anything soft that makes noise. It's not a loving thing either, they are her 'beetches', she chews their tails, carries them throughout the house, extracts their squeakers, and all over mangles the poor little darlings, but then spends hours softly chewing off their tags or the little string that hung them on the peg at PetSmart. I've already told you how she humped Randall and then ripped his head off on Christmas Day. But you know nothing of 'Ferdinand the Frog', 'Melvin the Mole', and 'Secret the Squirrel'. They are all still with us in some form or another.

By far her most ambitious friendship has been with 'Rascal the Racoon'. Upon his entry into her life she immediately chewed a hole in his head, from there she extracted all the fuzzy stuffing from his head, body and tail, this was a two evening project. In the course of all of this she found his squeaker, which she surgically removed, and gave up when asked (wouldn't want her to choke on it). After extracting all of his inards she somehow manged through unmatched diligence to turn him inside out. So no more racoon tail (it was on the inside)- just the polyester backside of the fun fur he was made out of and a few bits of stuffing that were sewn onto the seams. We then dubbed him simply a 'pelt' - she is very proud of her project and brings her 'pelt' to show all guests who enter the house.

Aside from that her other favorite is the frisbee, we have to keep it in the furnace room so she doesn't drive us crazy pleading to go outside at all hours for a quick game. When we take it out to play she gets so excited that the first thing she does outside when we go to play - is pee. Then she's ready to go!

Up.
Opps! Forgot to 'log -in" up above- Just thought you would all like to know as I am writing this, Chelsea, (to your left in the pic) is standing next to my chair with her head in my lap, smiling and panting. What a ham, she knows when I am writing things about her.

Up.
Even though he's already gotten all of the stuffing out of that chicken, he still LOVES to play with it. No, I don't let him eat the stuffing, and of course got that squeeker out promptly, but I do not eyt have the heart to take it away!

I think it is so funny the way they respond to toys. Pooh likes to take all of his toys out of his crate when he is let out of it upon our return from work. We usually leave him with 3 or 4 toys to keep him occupied. The squeeky shoe, some rubber contraption that his "pop pop" (my father) bought him and a few others. He will pile them up, lay on them and play with one. So funny.
Hi Everyone,

I've enjoyed reading about the sheepies favorite toys. Made me think back when Merlin was a baby and so I checked the website a friend made me long ago.
