he won't let me brush him!!!

einy is in need to a good brush but the groomers well it adds up cost wise.

we will stand for the groomer forever but not for me !!

should i get one of those arms to attach to my table ( not a grooming table just a heavy duty one we use in the garage)

at 23 weeks pregnant it is very had to chase him round the house so a away to get him to stay still would be great ( hubby will help)

he pretty good knot wise only a few forming where he sits or lays on his bum and his tummy. he not been wearing his collar in the house so no knots there.

well I use a chain choker when I groom and stick him a the table and tie the chain up on a rail or door or anything near by and he will sit pretty good cuz once the knots start they spread like wild flowers so keep up with it as much as u can. Or yes the groomer charges more. LOL I know this very well
shaving him may be your best solution - and then you can start brushing training with a clean slate.

IMHO A dog really shouldn't be tied or hooked on a table unless you know they are trained enough not to jump off.
I usually groom on the floor with an old quilt. When Miley was little I would take a 4 ft leash and put the handle part under the foot of our couch. Now a few times she did start to pull the couch but really it did not happen that often.

I ususally always have Miley laying down on one side groom then flip. I rarely have her standing up. I do her legs this way too - it drives my groomer crazy as Miley won't stand for them (and they perfer her standing). Maybe this is why I can never get her legs looking good but I do keep her knot free that is my main goal.
Tiggy doesnt like to stand either, so I groom her legs and feet lying down, it means she can kick me though.
We also have huge problem grooming Cooper. We got him at 10 weeks and he is now 13 months. Cooper was born deaf and we think thats a big part of it. He tries to eat the brush and battles through the whole process. We had to have him clipped down in December and the groomer does'nt want him back without sedatives. He is close to 100 lbs and very hard to control. Will we ever get to a point where this is evjoyable for him?
