brushes

I was just reading through some of the different questions/answers. What is a line brush and how is it different for using than a pin brush? I have a pin brush with the balls on the ends. I am thinking I need to change to something different or one with longer pins if such a thing exists. Bella is now 14 mos old and her coat is getting pretty long. Any suggestion/answers?

I use the 27mm brush. the thing is you need the one without the balls on the ends.
A "line brush" is a method of brushing, not a grooming tool. It's explained very well here: http://www.oes.org/html/sheepdog_grooming.html

The pin brushes with little balls at the end of the pins don't work very well on an OES coat. You generally can't find the correct brushes for an OES in your neighborhood pet supply stores. Cherrybrook http://www.cherrybrook.com/ is a good source for several brands of pin brushes, such as Hindes, Chris Christensen, #1 All Systems, PSI and Scalpmaster. A dog show is a great place to look for brushes and check out all kinds of grooming tools and products.
