Static Hair (human)

My hair has so much static in it and I can not get it to stop!
It is all over the place and clings to my face
Hair spray helps but it comes back.
Anyone know if a way to get rid of it.

Static Guard sprayed on your hair brush!
Are you using a pump or "aerosol" can? The pump does not work as well as the other. If that make sense.
A heavier conditioner will help keep more moisture in.

You can also smooth a dryer sheet over your hair to tame it.
I use Aussie's shampoo for luscious long hair, and the conditioner that goes with it. I used to have terrible trouble with static, not any more! My hair is very straight and fine but these products calm my hair right down. I also use Aussie 3 minute Miracle conditioner on Ru and we share their Miracle hair Insurance leave-in conditioner -it is better than Ice on Ice or Wu Pei in my opinion. Although I have not tried the last two on myself :lmt:

Ahh happy hair days.
I take some hand moisturizer and rub it in almost all the way, but not completely and then just run my hands over my hair a few times.
I'm a PRODUCT FREAK!!!!!!! I put so much in my hair...
Right now, I'm hooked on Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny serum. It's locks each of your strands with silicone to prevent fly aways and keep humidity out. I never walk out the door w/it in (and some other things). Seems to be popular here.

My husband just puts in some bed head serum or uses a light conditioner in the same way barney does w/moisturizer. Keeps his hair down and is cheaper than my option.
Add a little moisture to your home in some way too. Isn't it caused by the air being so dry?? Or is that a wives tale my mom told me and I believed??

Maybe get a small Humidifier. My sister bought one at walmart that is small and has this decorative "cover" so it sits on a little corner table in her living room and doesn't look like a big machine... she says its helped her throat and sinuses from always being dry. (maybe that's another one of those tales from my mom! She was famous for telling us them!)
Static drives me crazy too. In winter I wash my hair every other day to keep it less dry natural hair oils help. I have tried spray in conditioner that you leave in which helps along with the hair conditioner used in the shower.

But usually the static wins and I get a super short haircut, the static just recently won. Bye bye long hair.
I agree -- moisture- moisture - moisture!!!

I use all the Bumble and Bumble products and love them. Spring is almost here- and that will help!
You could always do like me and just cut it off. I was brushing Obe and it was not quite long enough to pull back in ponytail. I grabbed a pair of scissors and cut my bangs, then had to go get it cut short. Now I always have my hat on.
