How much hair is too much hair...loss

Although I am fully aware that sheepies lose hair when they are brushed/combed out, but how much is too much? I try to comb her out at least once a week, and do a quick brush every couple of days and in the end, I look at the pile of hair and think I have killed a family of bunnies.

Here is a pile with a tennis ball reference to size. The pile was (with no exaggeration, I used a ruler) about 5x12x5 inches!!!!

Am I crazy or is this really how it is ALL the time when their coats are longer?

That looks normal to me. 8)
Chewie's is longer, so we do get hair weekly from our brushing as well.
I get more than that when I brush Heart, but I do use a rake, and, since that is all that she is....is undercoat!!!!!

Still waiting.. :lmt: ..waiting.. :lmt: ..waiting....for her big girl coat to begin!!!!!!
Looks normal to me as well....and mine are adult dogs, no puppy coats.
doesn't look too bad - I get less, but it depends on the dog and the tool used. a comb will remove more undercoat.
I get a little more than that, twice a week. But Ru's coat is .. I just measured.. nearly 10 inches long 8O
looks normal to me.
