Nose Spots

Quercus is now 7 months old and about 2 weeks ago I noticed a black spot had developed on his nose. He has developed one more. Do sheppies develope more spots over time or could this be something else?
Thanks for your help!:)

What kind of spots?
Tiggy has black spots like freckles on her nose that are getting darker and bigger I think. But they're not raised or anygthing just really like freckles only black
Do you mean behind the big black thing? Actually you'll want dark skin behind the big/black ball to retard sunburn on the "shnoz" as it is technically called here. Otherwize they are prone to near constant sunburn and eventual skin cancer there....if you live in a sunny climate.

I've had several sheepies who needed sunblock on their schnozes.

Sheepies have a great many white areas with dark skin......look in their mouth for more evidence of dark pigment in strange places.
Oscar is almost five years old and his skin continues to darken in spots. I'll be checking him over for skin troubles, and think I've found a boo-boo, when it's just skin pigment.

Thanks for all your feedback! lol, yes the spots have appeared on I guess it would be the bridge of the nose. He does have and has had black spots ever since we got him...in his mouth, on the pads of his feet. He reminds me of a holstein cow! I was just worried when these ones just appeared on his nose.
Thanks again everyone!:)
I love the black on your sheepies ear....sooooo cute!
The pigment can change color-can go from pink to black or black to pink. I had the same question for my vet when Oliver was a pup. He said it was absolutely normal. We've noticed it on the bridge of his nose, around his eyes and mouth, and on the pads of his feet.

Your guy sure is cute!
Thanks!
We were lucky enough to have the first pick of the boys from the litter! We got him for his spunky attitude, and his markings have come in beautifully!
I'm glad the markings changing are normal!:)
His completely normal, they throw pigment for a long time, I have one youngster that the pads on the paws are turning black also the nails. (Which I hate cutting those black ones)

Above the nose you will see it sort of like a blob and that gets wider and fills in more. One of my young girls has black blobs now on her tummy now and boobies.

Like the eye pigment, keeps expanding with new blobs.

Good pigment is a blessing and highly desired on an OES, wherever that pigment blooms
