Whatta you having for Sunday dinner?

I'm having country ribs in the crockpot, roasted brussel sprouts and potato pancakes. The house smells just yummy now.

What are you eating tonight????

We had roast chicken, peas, carrots and roast potato's with a lovely gravy. As a sweet Linda made an apple strudel with cream. The left over chicken and veg was gladly devoured by the sheepies.
Made whole wheat pizza crust with pineapple, peppers, and ham on top. It was more of a lunch/dinner.
We are going out to eat since we didn't eat out or order out all week long. Outback or Carrabas. Probably will decide when we see how full each parking lot is
I don't know as long as I don't have to cook! Long day already, just home, shoes yet to come off, couldn't quite make it to the bedroom. Maybe I'll nap here.

Oh my gosh...we LOVEEEEEEEEEEE Carrabas and debated going there today but Mr. J decided his vegetable garden he's building needed ALL his attn. today ...which is why I ended up having to do the pizza. We're going next weekend. Their spinach dip is yum!
Ate out for lunch---

We are having Pork roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots and fried apples for dinner. Oh-- and biscuits.
I have made Roman Holiday
This comes from my mom year ago. over 50 yrs

elbow mac
hamburger
am. cheesee
butter salt pepper
on top stewed tomatoes ( I have home made from SIL) yum
layer then bake covered 350 degrees 30 min

All of my kids make this
pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw... Pulled pork in the crock pot.
I should add that each kid has a different verision

one uses velveta ( for me to much cheesee
one uses turkey and reduced fat cheesee
ok with turkey but lost it with the cheesee
we had turkey - I roasted half a turkey.

we had the butcher cut a turkey in half and then cut one half in half again - Morgan and Beowulf at those peices for dinner last night - I kid you not. My daughter said its official we are crazy :D
I made turkey meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes and a salad...
We had broiled tilapia, butter and herb pasta, and green beans.....very yummy and quick!
Frozen Pizza. Not in the mood to cook or clean.
Shon, were you in the mood to cook the pizza?

Yes I was... open box, slide pizza in oven, pull pizza out, cut, put slice on paper towel, eat. Throw away paper towel, wash cutter and kitchen is clean.
We had stuffed salmon, rice pilaf and steamed green beans. It was all gone in a flash.

(Even the teen boys ate without complaint!) That is rare here. I have one who will eat anything at all and one who is pickier than anyone I have ever met in my life.

Shon-- I need to re think this whole cooking thing. Your's sounds much easier!! ha ha ha
I swear I replied to this - it must have gone into limbo land last night.

We were out shopping (me, LeAnne and the kids) yesterday after the Pet Expo, and we ate at IKEA. I had the veggie wrap and some delicious clam chowder.
Yummy, cheap and no dishes to do!

It was quite easy to fix and clean up. Tonight will be a different story halibut steak, fresh veggies, salad, and some pierogies (cheese and potato).
I would love some halibut steak right now!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight we're having some crispy chicken (saltine crackers, 2T flour, 2T potato flakes ...dipped in egg first), okra, double baked potato.
Yum!!! The halibut, the chicken, the potatoes!!!

I won't get supper. I work til 5, have to drive home, brush Chewie and wash his face (I was gone all weekend) and then get back into town by 6pm to teach class.

Priorities - more important my dog is clean than I eat dinner!!

Todd is fishing, maybe we will have that for a late meal. I hope.

Willing to trade a halibut steak for a double baked potato??? love those things.
I will eat any and all of the things listed above. Tonight is very simple--- Cream of cauliflower / carrot soup with garlic toast.

LONG DAY!
tonight is all about left overs.... I have chicken from the crock pot on Friday, and pulled pork from yesterday.... plenty of veggies and rice to cook... Leftovers it is....

Tuesday's dinner is a different story... I have chuck roast so I'm debating if I should try something new or one of the (new)old favorites that I have already done....

Just for a quick crock pot dinner idea. Get the meatballs from Ikea, put in the crockpot with the can of tomato, mushroom soups and the pkt of onion soup mix and serve over noodles..... with fresh steamed veggies on the side.... so darn good.
John said no way to the soup and garlic bread... so it was every man for himself night. I had a tuna melt and soup--

John had bowl of black walnut ice cream and a candy bar.

Why am I the one that has to watch my weight, and he can eat junk all the time, with no gain.
Lori, it'll just make you healthier on the inside...

I made chicken stir fry. I hate that dh only likes white rice.

I think that meatloaf is destined for the trash...

Tonight I think I'll try and do something in honor of Mardi Gras.
We went to a Marriott brunch on Sunday, hence, no real dinner for us! (Insert pig emoticon here!)
Made bourbon pecan pie last night for today (that will eaten all by me since mr. j is dieting) and for dinner we're having shrimp & creole Rice (husband's request or else I wouldn't have made/picked it myself).

Oh wow I just love reading all these recipies, please keep them coming. Makes my cooking boring here in the UK
