kinds of oes fur

I have been looking at your oes's and noticed I have not seen fur like Snowy. She very tight curls over 3/4 of her. Is this common?
It never stays looking nice for long. It makes me want to shorten it.
Any ideas out there.
Thanks, Deana

The standard says the correct coat is "not straight, but shaggy and free from curl" so it sounds like her coat is probably a bit unusual. Maybe either really short or really long (to help straighten the curl) might work best for her.
Yes, longer coat will pull out the curl. When Jack is in shorter coat he looks like a darn poodle. If you keep your baby in shorter coat, brush/comb daily trying not to pull out too much undercoat or else you'll end up with a "Bearded Collie".
Sami has the curler hair and it is a pain when short matts way to fast. Blue on the other hand is not near as curlier and way easier to bath, dry, cut brush???
